If you enjoyed Trine 2: The Director’s Cut, you’re going to enjoy Trine: Enchanted Edition. It has the same kind of stunning views, incredible atmosphere, and clever puzzles.
Trine’s first entry is a marvelously-crafted mix of RPG and platforms which includes ingenious level design, a very attractive audio-visual component and a very captivating storyline. It might not excel as much as its sequel but it works as a perfect introduction to the series.
With original game mechanics and charming aesthetics, it's a pleasure to play.
A few small factors aside, Trine Enchanted Edition is a gorgeous rendition to pick up for those who enjoyed the sequel.
Trine: Enchanted Edition is a good game, well made and competent, but not necessarily for me. I can appreciate what it has accomplished, but its slow, methodical brand of puzzle platforming and the “meh” combat leave me wanting.
