Battleborn really surprised and impressed me with how fun it is to play. I expected to be let down by another run of the mill shooter with some sort of gimmick tacked on, but that didn't happen here.

Battleborn does well in offering you both multiplayer modes and missions without pressuring you into concentrating on a certain mode. They're interesting and exciting, but do begin to get tedious when you have to play them continuously due to the small selection of modes and maps.

If the idea of getting to play a wide range of distinct heroes each with their own abilities in a setting that captures the fun and humour of the Borderlands franchise then yeah, sure, [you'll enjoy it]. If you’re looking for a new co-op game, then yeah it’s good for that too. But it’s not Borderlands. It’s not even a MOBA, a genre that a lot of people know very little about. It’s Battleborn. And even with a number of problems, it’s still a lot of fun to play.

It's not hard to knock Battleborn, but that shouldn't take away from the fact that it can be a blast to play. It still gives you the variety, the sense of growing power and the competitive thrills of a good MOBA, while also dishing out the kind of madcap, crazy shooter action that Borderlands fans have come to know and love.

Despite its good gameplay and the charming art style, Battleborn fails in giving players enough motivation to stay in its arenas once every hero and level has been tried.

Battleborn has the potential to be delightful, but right now numerous small problems all added up make for a less enjoyable overall experience.

Battleborn is big, colourful and wholly raucous, but its overall design and first-person-shooter/MOBA-inspired mechanics don't gel as well as I was hoping they would. There's a lot of repetition, poor difficulty balancing and a limited amount of content to be found at launch, and while that will surely improve over the coming months, it makes the game's expensive price tag loom high at this point in time.

It has a ton of content, like serious replay value. The PvP you are used to in games is similar to the capture mode which is a vamped up king of the hill, but then it has 2 other modes that are more moba influenced which give you completely different experiences. If you're tired of the old chase around death match, this brings another level of co-op and intensity to the game due to all the different things you can do and being able to customize your character differently every match! The moba aspects aren't overwhelming at all unless you play the meltdown mode, where you follow minions to try and lead them to the other goal, or defend your goal. All in all though, it plays very easily, you just have actual goals instead of blind killing. Theres so much store and lore with an amazing raid-like campaign that I've already played through a good couple times! The characters are so interesting and you can unlock more of their backstory through completing certain challenges. It's been a blast and I highly recommend it. It's definitely more enjoyable with friends, but don't fear because it was super easy to make and add new friends due to the integrated steam friend list! Don't be afraid to dust off that mic and talk! The motto is fight together or die alone and they mean it! It's about playing your role right! Expand

Russian localization and split screen in the game from the creators of Borderlands. After the games in the series LEGO is now our son's favorite game.

I was very apprehensive about the art style since I never played Borderlands but it looks good and the frame rate is rock solid.

The humor is hit and miss but the character design offers a level of variety I never expected. Pretty much anyone who enjoys FPS games will find a style/character they enjoy. Also the in-match leveling system adds a balance that is missing in a lot of shooters I've played online. I've seen some serious mismatches between certain characters and I've also been on both sides of it myself so it's definitely present. However, good teams react quickly and understand how to maximize their characters' abilities so it hasn't detracted from my experience in the end.

Really was surprised by how good this game is and I'm going to enjoy unlocking the characters and their individual levels as well. If you like fast paced shooters and have been looking for a game offering content galore then this is a must have. Doesn't take itself too seriously and the fun factor of the gameplay can't be overlooked.

But I like Gearbox games, I was one of probably the only people to like Colonial Marines. Thought they captured the essence of the films if not everything else. Have to say I am enjoying Battleborn more than I thought, there is a lot of stuff I somehow missed on the beta or it wasn't present. Loadouts, loot boxes, skills ... I am finding it to be a deeper game than I thought.

At the moment people are just picking random classes so the teams are not gelling that well, but you can see the potential. Get a good Tank/Healer combo and you can dominate. A Rogue who goes out of their way to farm crystals and setup turrets, healing stations etc can be invaluable without even getting a kill. I think the tactics of this game will come out later down the line, at the moment everybody is finding the characters that suit them. And its great even higher levels are not dominating because it's not that sort of game.

Overall a great deal of fun and a lot of learning to do, this game has more depth than I initially gave it credit for and is easy to dismiss at first glance. I think if you liked Borderlands at all, this game is worth a punt. Because it has the same feel to it, crazy characters, good sense of humour and a nice lore of it's own. I was on the fence but don't regret buying it at all.

My english is not so good, but I want to underline that Battleborn has a lot of fun. I tryed the beta waiting for a game to be playedMy english is not so good, but I want to underline that Battleborn has a lot of fun. I tryed the beta waiting for a game to be played randomly. While playing I found something different and interesting, so I decided to buy it. Battleborn is not a casual game. You have to study your pg and all the others so that you can undesrtand how to fight against them when you meet them in a pvp mode. You have to study how to level up your character during a match , and how to use it more and more effectively. You can not play Battleborn alone, you need to have your team, you need to cooperate with your friends, and this way you will find a great game, both in the PVP and the PVE . If you play it on console, like me, you will find it very innovative Expand
