Battleborn really surprised and impressed me with how fun it is to play. I expected to be let down by another run of the mill shooter with some sort of gimmick tacked on, but that didn't happen here.

Battleborn does well in offering you both multiplayer modes and missions without pressuring you into concentrating on a certain mode. They're interesting and exciting, but do begin to get tedious when you have to play them continuously due to the small selection of modes and maps.

If the idea of getting to play a wide range of distinct heroes each with their own abilities in a setting that captures the fun and humour of the Borderlands franchise then yeah, sure, [you'll enjoy it]. If you’re looking for a new co-op game, then yeah it’s good for that too. But it’s not Borderlands. It’s not even a MOBA, a genre that a lot of people know very little about. It’s Battleborn. And even with a number of problems, it’s still a lot of fun to play.

It's not hard to knock Battleborn, but that shouldn't take away from the fact that it can be a blast to play. It still gives you the variety, the sense of growing power and the competitive thrills of a good MOBA, while also dishing out the kind of madcap, crazy shooter action that Borderlands fans have come to know and love.

Despite its good gameplay and the charming art style, Battleborn fails in giving players enough motivation to stay in its arenas once every hero and level has been tried.

Battleborn has the potential to be delightful, but right now numerous small problems all added up make for a less enjoyable overall experience.

Battleborn is big, colourful and wholly raucous, but its overall design and first-person-shooter/MOBA-inspired mechanics don't gel as well as I was hoping they would. There's a lot of repetition, poor difficulty balancing and a limited amount of content to be found at launch, and while that will surely improve over the coming months, it makes the game's expensive price tag loom high at this point in time.

It has a ton of content, like serious replay value. The PvP you are used to in games is similar to the capture mode which is a vamped up king of the hill, but then it has 2 other modes that are more moba influenced which give you completely different experiences. If you're tired of the old chase around death match, this brings another level of co-op and intensity to the game due to all the different things you can do and being able to customize your character differently every match! The moba aspects aren't overwhelming at all unless you play the meltdown mode, where you follow minions to try and lead them to the other goal, or defend your goal. All in all though, it plays very easily, you just have actual goals instead of blind killing. Theres so much store and lore with an amazing raid-like campaign that I've already played through a good couple times! The characters are so interesting and you can unlock more of their backstory through completing certain challenges. It's been a blast and I highly recommend it. It's definitely more enjoyable with friends, but don't fear because it was super easy to make and add new friends due to the integrated steam friend list! Don't be afraid to dust off that mic and talk! The motto is fight together or die alone and they mean it! It's about playing your role right! Expand

Russian localization and split screen in the game from the creators of Borderlands. After the games in the series LEGO is now our son's favorite game.

Really a great, creative, and ambitious to pullOnline multiplayer is balanced pretty well with the diverse group of characters on the roster. Really a great, creative, and ambitious to pull off successfully. Each character really does feel different. At this time OP characters are difficult to unlock and take many hours to do. This creates a strange dynamic where you have to suffer a bit before you get to the good characters. Not many people are patient enough for that when you have a MOBA like SMITE out there where you can try and rent characters. One major issue is the single player online. Even a private session can disconnect and you can lose all progress which is very frustrating when you are 45 minutes into a mission and the boss has 25% health left (this happened). Expand

Alright it may not have the pick up and play for twenty minutes than put down going for it (what MOBA worth its salt does does?).

If you are sitting on the fence about getting this game then you are missing out. Gearbox have made a great game here which will only get better over time if it gets even half the support that Borderlands has seen over the years.

Do not compare this to Overwatch, I own both and although having a similar look, they play very differently. Both are great games!
