Feb 17, 2011My "metal phase" began and ended with Killing Joke. This album vindicates that dalliance, putting to shame most of the hard rock and faux punk I've heard in the last 20 years. Power. Aggression. And messages. And a point. While not perfect, it is so good it defies all expectations.

Alternative PressDec 16, 2010Instead of building on their strengths, frontman Jaz Coleman & Co. have backslid into subdued sogginess of the band's mid-period. [Jan 2010, p.91]
