Sep 11, 2014This album is great. They lost the violin emotive power and they adopted a more rock sound. The sound they adopted in this record is often bad, it's already heard from tons of other bands, but sometimes the arrangements get elegant and good and once again the amazing melodies save them (even if in this second record there are less excellent songs).

Q MagazineAug 29, 2014Liddle's earthy vocal wobble remains central, but this time it's married to such strident, straightforward rock that no one's going to compare them with Mumfords again. [Oct 2014, p.109]

Aug 25, 2014Dry the River's best asset is the conviction with which they sell each moment, and the aptly named album, for all of its cacophonous posturing, always feels like it's coming directly from the heart, even as it's set to explode.

MojoAug 22, 2014Dry The River's contradictions result in an almost too-unified second release. [Sep 2014, p.98]
