  1. A lot of bands venture close to soft-rock territory and come out unscathed. Trembling Blue Stars aren't so lucky.
  2. Alive to Every Smile finds TBS swanning through a set of soft-pop numbers giddy with the misty misery of melancholy and coated with the softest frostings of studio icing-sugar.
  3. No matter the players, Alive to Every Smile is so patently a Bob Wratten album that, honestly, it sounds a little tired.

    One of my favourite albums ever. Because of Alive To Every Smile, i have bought practically everything ever recorded by Bob Wratten. Excellent!!
