JPEGMAFIA doesn't have to overkill the current politics by becoming the left-wing's wings. But he did! More so, that's what's needed right now in the music scene where musicians can speak up about major issues, not just plugging their ears and talk about something else. JPEGMAFIA became one of the most important rappers in this era! And everything is crisp!

It is a great follow up for Veteran, which was really good too. At first I didn't know what to expect from it, but it is good from start to finish. This album is something incredible. Peggy manages to produce amazing tracks, with amazing beats and even lyrics. The production is top tier, and the whole album feels so special, with also the feel of a victory lap since Veteran. This is a confirmed classic in my opinion, but peggy disappointed me :(

However, Peggy is at peace with that; his new found fame hasn’t corrupted him as seen on Free the frail and Post-verified-Lifestyle. Peggy asks this question on Jesus Forgive I am Thot, gets his answer on the title track, and finally copes with it on Papi I missed You. Another amazing work of art from Peggy. Sardonic humor in the lyrics, eccentric instrumentals, energetic and vulnerable. Everything that made “Veteran” a great album but with more variety and better executed. This is now my 2nd favorite album this year behind “IGOR” by Tyler, the Creator.

HELL. YES. This is what I've been expecting from Peggy since Veteran and more. Loved everything on here, almost no complaints. So dissappointed. Every song brings a new sound, and a new energy. Peggy is known for his memorable lyrics, and on this record there are too many to count. Beautiful singing, creative melodies and hooks, and just as much depth in production as veteran. I've listened to it 7 times through and now I just play it on shuffle, because every song is as good as the other.

If I could summarize this album in two words it would be subtle chaos. With Veteran the chaos of the lyrics and sound was more abrasive and in your face. In All My Heroes Are Cornballs the sound and lyricism is still chaotic but in a more blissful and melodic way. All in all, this album is amazing and is by far one of the weirdest albums I’ve heard this year.

Best production of any rap album this year. Pulls from a multitude of genres to create something entirely unique. Catchy, yet futuristic. Feels like Peggy has matured so much as an artist since “Veteran” (which is saying a lot because that album was also fantastic). A must listen and the best album of the year.

He can sing enough to get by (especially with autotune) but it’s shouldn’t sound this good. JPEG isn’t the last person I would’ve expected an interesting great listen from but he wasn’t really on my watch list. I thought Veteran was good but had a TON of filler which was strange for someone like JPEG. This album doesn’t waste any time here and builds on Veteran. JPEGMAFIA fans will worship this album. Ordinary rap fans will have to let it grow on them or they will just hate it because it is a weird album especially if you just listen to Drake all day. Expand

All My Heroes Are Cornballs manages a mellow, even reserved instrumental tone without losing any of the scathing social commentary or frenetic energy that defined earlier work. If anything, the album is more intense, hiding biting and bilious (and often surreal) lyrical threats beneath a deceptively low-energy facade.

JPEGMAFIA ain’t really here for the put-ons and doesn’t expect his listeners to be either. But those expectations do not come without a kind of sound education, one that considers the context and multiplicity of characters he’s speaking to and through. In that way, Cornballs demands repeat plays, critical engagement and a goddamn sense of humour. [Nov 2019, p.57]

Despite his tongue-in-cheek song titles, and his jesting bluster about his rise to prominence, there's a real soul and emotion running beneath everything.
