I'm a true fan, I know it. But this album is the best thing you can listen after The Wall in 1979. Far better than any artwork from all members solo career (including himself) and Pink floyd albums after that. It was amazing in 1992 and still precious now. A must have in your collection.

The overall mood is, ironically, not dissimilar to drifting in and out of consciousness while the TV murmurs in the background, occasionally jolting you awake with a ringing phone or a spray of gunfire.

Waters is on fiery form, and you get the sense that by 1992, he’d finally settled into his own corner of the world a little more.

While the new audio mix that accompanies this reissue (no bonus tracks included) might entice the audiophiles and give observers further reason to delve into its inner meanings, the sheer profundity of Waters’ weighty subject matter still leaves little room for immediate attachment. A noble experiment from an edgy, outspoken prophet and pontificator, Amused to Death isn’t exactly the stuff of easily consumable entertainment.
