With jubilant tie-dye riffs and squiggly guitar lines around every corner, And Now For The Whatchamacallit is every bit the celebratory psych-rock album it strives to be.

Even when they do go a bit hippy-dippy, it's rarely at the expense of something you can hum along to. [Summer 2019, p.115]

The result is enough to refresh the palate of even the most jaded garage-rock fan. [Jul 2019, p.84]

It's a bit of a shame that the band's name may turn potential fans away at the door, but PPC work pretty hard to overcome their self-imposed handicap and turn in an exciting and solidly built third LP.

Whilst Psychedelic Porn Crumpets remain an attractive proposition, this outing would perhaps suggest that they’re starting to cool off a little after the hot, toasting stage they enjoyed with their first two releases.

Awesome. It takes one or two listens to get used to the "fuzz" on the album, but after that it's amazing!

Definitely their worst album but thats not a bad thing. Some great tracks but mixed with some very forgettable fillers in the middle.

While it doesn't have the magic of the two preceding albums, it is in some ways more sonic-ally adventurous. Not as game-changing as HighWhile it doesn't have the magic of the two preceding albums, it is in some ways more sonic-ally adventurous. Not as game-changing as High Visceral pt. 1, but still a nice development as a band. Shows they are innovating. This album actually compares well against Claypool-Lennon Delirium, which is really saying something. The previously released "Social Candy" is a super-effective rock piece, but the rest of the album is more experimental. "Hymn for a Droid" and "Keen for Kick Ons" are both standouts. Expand
