Jan 19, 2023It felt so damn wrong to give this an 10, but then again it felt right to give it a 10. Guess what, I HAVE NO PROBLEMS WITH THIS ALBUM WHAT SO EVER. This is a beautiful masterpiece, and I would listen to it again.

Aug 24, 2022My favorite Hip-Hop album of all time, just an awesome ride. Ain't It funny is in my top 5 Rap songs of all time

Apr 6, 2022This album is one hell of a trip. Danny spits about the horrors of drugs and a way that only he can. His beat selection is at an all time high. His higher registry really brings a whole new vibe to the album. Experimental hip hop at its finest.

Sep 9, 2021Is this what being on cocaine feels like? If so then I think I'm addicted. Absolutely amazing release.

Feb 3, 2021Crazy album that takes you through the highs and lows of a paranoid addict. Danny combines dark and at times hilarious lyricism with some of the most insane beats I have ever heard. Favorite tracks are Downward Spiral, Lost, Ain't It Funny, White Lines, and When It Rain.
-
Sep 28, 2020One of the better releases that year.
Twisted lyrics, dark and chaotic but cohesive beats, features from Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, Earl Sweatshirt, The Alchemist and Black Milk.
Arguably the best album from Danny Brown's discography thus far. Definitely worth a listen. -
Apr 7, 2020I still listnen to songs on this album on a daily basis. This album is a masterpiece of music. The darkness and trippy aesthetic and psycho as well as psychedelic feeling and sound of this album is simply amazing. This is an album that you'll either love or hate.
-
Apr 2, 2020Trash. Danny’s voice is one of the most obnoxious things I’ve ever heard on a piece of music. Practically unlistenable at worst, not even mediocre at best.
-
Feb 25, 2020My personal favorite Danny Brown Album. I really love the track "Aint it Funny" just for how loud and rambunctious it can. I continue to love Danny Brown's voice and style as he continues to one up himself.
-

Feb 3, 2020Atrocity Exhibition is daring, dadaistic, visceral and complex. As rhymes as beats has an impeccable technique and care.
-
Jan 23, 2020AMAZING album, this is a masterpiece. its a amazingly executed piece of work about drug addiction with great lyricism and great artistry. this is a top 3 album that has dropped in the 2010's. his voice, while sounding very weird on the first listen fits the album perfectly.
-
Oct 4, 2019I voted 10 but I wanted 9.5 or 9.6 actually lol. I just want to say that this artist is difficult to get into, but when you do, you can dance to even his most depressing songs. But anyway, even if you hate his voice, you cannot deny his 70k samples and beats are not dope and his lyrics very dark. My favourite album cover and my favourite album right now.

May 21, 2019Atrocity Exhibition is a rare lyrical masterpiece and Danny’s best work so far.
It’s hard to critique an album that does so much right, id advise a personal listen!
9/10 -
Jun 14, 2018Experimental hip hop at its best. This album will make you feel like your the one going through the downward spiral of drug addiction, paranoia and depression that Danny Brown is going through. Best experience I've ever had listening to an album.
-
Nov 25, 2017Hard hitting yet incredibly enjoyable. The lyrics and topics within this record are pretty sinister, but they're complimented perfectly by the eccentric beats found throughout. Danny's 'deranged' sounding delivery is the final piece of this sick, twisted puzzle. An album as brilliant as it is weird and disturbing.
-
Sep 29, 2017Danny is one of the best rappers in the game right now. He has good lyricism, great production, and the hip hop GODS Kendrick Lamar, Ab Soul, and Earl Sweatshirt on ONE SONG!! Only complaint is that Danny's voice CAN get annoying every once in a while. 9/10

Apr 16, 2017Classic Danny Brown album and some of the most abstract and unique hip-hop you will find. The production is stunning across the album, 'Ain't it Funny' being a highlight. Danny's drug fuelled lyricism is once again outstanding and this album really encapsulates his darkest moments whilst being entertaining throughout.
-
Apr 13, 2017A very hard album to listen to all the way through. The flows are gimmicky and the only and very minor reason to listen to this album is the half-way decent lyricism. Overall a very poor album. Unless you are a Danny Brown fan you are probably not going to enjoy this project.
-
Apr 6, 2017I'm going to go as far as to say Danny has the most unique voice in modern popular hip hop. His squawky nasally voice pierces through every track and with a star studded lineup of features as well. He definitely belongs on Warp Records if you know what I mean
-
Mar 11, 2017Danny Brown sounds like a guy who's trying to make fun of a person like Lil Uzi Vert, but after the first few songs I got used to it and eventually enjoyed this album very much, the way Brown raps is wacky af but works somehow, his flow is fire, and his lyrics are impressive. All around great album.
-
Jan 3, 2017As the name suggest this is a real atrocity, it's unpleasant to listen to, some songs are just so disjointed that it actually hurts the ears, had to drag myself to listen to more than half of the album
Awards & Rankings
-
Nov 16, 2016On “When It Rain,” Brown shouts, “You ain’t heard it like this before,” like a madman. Atrocity Exhibition proves him right.
-
The WireNov 8, 2016If Atrocity Exhibition doesn’t connect with quite the same power, it’s not for lack of commitment or craft. [Oct 2016, p.53]
-
Nov 4, 2016A thematic sequel to 2011 breakout mixtape ‘XXX’, Danny Brown remains rap’s most unique force.
