There are plenty of bands trying to capture this distressing atmosphere of dread, uncertainty and slowly enveloping darkness, but few do it with the class, subtlety and controlled intensity of All Them Witches. Five albums in, they are confident in their abilities and seem poised for a remarkable future.

ATW is perplexing in its ability to both continue many of All Them Witches' songwriting motifs while often (and sometimes simultaneously) subverting them altogether.

If anything, ATW feels like a product of pure instinct, and while it may take some patience to absorb, there isn't a single note that feels coerced.

On ATW, All Them Witches wisely avoid repeating themselves, instead filtering the heavy, stoner rock of Dying Surfer Meets His Maker through the more expansive, psychedelic haze of Sleeping Through the War. The result feels like a natural evolution for the band rather than a tired, "back to basics" album, and it's all the better for it.

Overall ATW seem "smaller" somehow, where previous records were... well, bigger. If it were anyone else we'd be more impressed, but ATW can do better. [Nov 2018, p.80]

Undoubtedly - there is a share of witchcraft in their work ... like witches, they take inspiration from a secret energy well and fill them with their compositions.
