the only reason i kind of enjoyed this movie is because my brother was repeating the lines in engrish, yes engrish. other than that, i truely despised this movie. it was a waste of sam worthingtons acter ability, and im not even sure he is a good actor. a complete rip off of many different movies such as dances with wolves. when i heard that people in the theaters clapped when they saw thethe only reason i kind of enjoyed this movie is because my brother was repeating the lines in engrish, yes engrish. other than that, i truely despised this movie. it was a waste of sam worthingtons acter ability, and im not even sure he is a good actor. a complete rip off of many different movies such as dances with wolves. when i heard that people in the theaters clapped when they saw the us marines get killed i felt like shooting james cameron in the face while shouting "yea get some mofo" im thinking about enlisting in the marines, and i hate the way this movie portrays them. its worse than the marines in jarhead (although i still liked jarhead). unfortunatly my brother bought this movie on blu ray instead of hurt locker which was a much much better movie. dont get mad at me for saying that because metacritic agrees with me!!!!! hell yea!!!!!!!!!! Mind blowingly amazing. One foot in the past and one foot in the future and boots high in lysergics. Best tasted through a haze of smoke.

This album is only subdued in comparison to Comets on Fire's previous work, Blue Cathedral, but Avatar still rocks hard on many of the tracks. However, the focus on keyboard-centered pieces and the move away from noise-rock stylings means this album is a little more casual but in no way is it a sellout. The Comets continue to make uniquely psychedelic indie rock.

There is an unhinged, maniacal desire to cross on over into the cosmos on Comets on Fire's (frankly) totally awesome new record. [#21, p.100]

Freedom rock at its most liberating. [Jul/Aug 2006, p.116]

If their ultraviolet jams can sometimes get lost in the gaze, here they're balanced with more crisp songcraft. [Aug 2006, p.107]
