    "Be The Void" - the seventh album of psychedelic, indie rock group Dr. Dog supposed to be a CD which reminiscent the live shows - energetic, loud and chaotic. And indeed the whole release can give such an impression - but only partially - because we do not find in it nothing distinctive enough that stays in the memory for long. Noteworthy is song "Lonesome".

    There's not an obvious departure from their last few releases, but there doesn't need to be as the band has settled comfortably into their sound.

    When they're good, they are glorious and their enthusiasm is infectious, this band thrive when live but perhaps there's a little too much padding filling the, er, void.
