JonathonSJul 18, 2009I was let down, some good songs here and there, but in general this isn't the kings I used to love. I hope with the next cd they return to their roots. p.d. Zeke this cd is their FOURTH LP.

PeteApr 12, 2007Weak arena rock. Doesn't come close to Youth and Aha. They need to grow back their beards and their balls.

JamesSApr 16, 2007I really enjoyed Aha Shake Heartbreak. This album was a huge let down for me. Aha seemed like a jam session, but it was a sound all its own. This album was a dissapointment.

B.MichaelApr 8, 2007The Kings of Leon sound gets bloated and smaller at the same time; falls well short of debut and Aha Heartbreak.

-
If less accessible on first hearing than its predecessors, the result is an epic wide-screen movie of a CD and the band's best to date.
-
Although it's stylistically diverse, the album feels coherent.
-
Kings of Leon often seem torn between their stadium rawk impulses and their hip underground aspirations.
