    Capsize is a masterpiece.

Now that I got that out of the way, only IFUСKINGLOVEYOU comes close to that high. Money Rain Down, The Zebrah and Side of the Road are all quite good too, but I honestly rarely feel like putting the whole thing on, I end up just skipping to Capsize, replaying that and then moving on to something else. This is a much better collection of songs than it is an album.

An album that challenge you to love it or hate it. It has a lot variables to play with, yes for it does have maybe a problem with where to go from now on and i hope to hear from BBD very soon. Just Capsize and Side of the Road make the album a total knockoff.

Knowingly nostalgic and highly polished, this rich debut contains retro-cool references but also chunky pop hooks. [Oct 2013, p.63]

Whether you define the resulting feeling as closure or weariness, the album leaves you with a lot to think about before hitting repeat.

After exploring BBD, it seems the rest of Mellowdrone wasn’t needed for idea creation as much as containing and editing the various artistic notions generated by Bates.
