people are too hard on 2 chainz. he isnt trying to make deep rap the whole time he is mostly just having fun with it, not trying to make perfect sense but thats what makes 2 chainz 2 chainz this album has good beats and is entertaining. isn't that what we want out of music?

Being known as a feature artist, I really lacked faith in his new album. I was wrong however. The beats were mixed and you could tell he was reaching out to a wide variety of genres. The production for me is not what made me like the album, but it's how 2 Chainz has a flow that makes the beats work for him. That's what made me like this album, his ability to make each song work for him.Being known as a feature artist, I really lacked faith in his new album. I was wrong however. First off, major improvement over his debut. Instead of each track sucking, there are some redeemable tracks here that are pretty solid bangers. However, too many of these tracks are classic 2 Chainz with dumb punchlines that aren't funny and horrible rapping skills.

Pretty decent production. 2 Chainz' flow is still just as bad as it was before. Most of the features on this album do better than he does. Overall, a pretty bad album with a couple good songs.

Surprisingly good album. Don't see why there's so much hate. Lyrically he's hilarious and the beats are out of this world! People are just hating because it's 2 Chainz. I only wasn't hot on one track and that was T Pain's fault. In conclusion, it's 2 Chainz so don't expect any rapping from the heart and great meaningful lyrics but if you want some fantastic beats and good laughs then youSurprisingly good album. With rich and interesting production the whole album, 2 chainz comes off as actually caring about his work and his ideas behind his songs. With all of the hype leftover from his first B.O.A.T.S. installment, he doesn't disappoint.

How this is getting good reviews from critics is really just a puzzle to me. I have no idea how 2 Chainz is actually a popular artist, his voice and flow are utter sh*t! What kind of moron would ever listen to something like this over all the other quality albums that have come out over the past two weeks? Jesus Christ.

2 chains needs to stick to guest appearances on other MC's tracks cause he can't hold a track by himself-much less and album. After about three tracks his voice is irratating and you can easily discover his lyrics ain't about sh*t. Thankfully didn't buy this album and wouldn't.

Oh dear what a truly awful album like most rappers such as Kendrick Lamar and Kanye, 2 Chainz is a pathetic excuse for a rapper and to me this album just proves my point.

Many people really are too hard on 2 Chainz. It's not artistic, socially conscious, or meaningful but it's not meant to be. The production is often upper-tier, and Chainz can spit it better than most, if not all, trap rappers. That being said, it's not artistic, socially conscious, or meaningful… there's very little here lyrically. There's a little bit of social commentary with "Mainstream Ratchet" and *gasp* some genuine emotion on "Beautiful Pain" and "U Da Realest." Also, 2 Chainz doesn't depend nearly as much on features as he has on previous work. Overall though, it's still all about the production, the money, and the trap life. ~ 5.8/10

Best track: "Feds Watching": Pharrell's production on this song is elite.. and for this album that's enough to make it the best track.

Other notable tracks: "Mainstream Ratchet", "I Do It" & "Black Unicorn"

This album just further reiterates the incredibly horrible style of 2 Chainz first established on Based On A T.R.U Story. First off: all you people who say 2 chainz has terrible lyrics are idiots.
Also you have to understand 2 chainz makes music people can have fun to. Or just vibe to. If you hold him to a Kendrick Lamar lyricist standard, you are going to despise this album. It is a loud, fun, bass driven album that succeeds at what it tries to be. I enjoyed it. It has funny, simple lyrics and big booming

Better than his debut. With this album, 2 Chainz has grown skill as a rapper. 2 Chainz still isn't at his lyrical best, but you can see his lyrical side on some of the songs toward the end of the album. 2 Chainz moves around the sort of eclectic brat selection that Lil Wayne was devouring in the mid-2000s. [Nov 2013, p.66]

While there might be a few missteps her and there--particularly in the strength of some of the verses--most of the album works really well. [Nov 2013, p.93]

There is certainly a lot of dumb going on across #METIME‘s hour, but its seamless transition from absurdity to a more pathos-oriented final third creates a dimension that acknowledges 2 Chainz doesn’t have to be a jester to entertain us. He just enjoys the ride.
