Chromatica is so old and similar to Lady Gaga's other albums.I'm so sorry for that.

This album was an utter disappointment to me. I have been so excited for a LG dance album since the beloved ARTPOP, and Chromatica was not that. The songs were extremely bland and could have and have been done before. I love Gaga and this album was a huge letdown.

It´s always great to see an artist open up to us about his issues/mental health, and turn it into some dance-pop bangerz, and Gaga did it perfectly. The problem is that, with so many songs sounding the same, the whole ideia of the album almost gets lost in the middle. It lacks longetivity.
    Top Track: Lady Gaga
    Worst Track: Sour Candy

Honestly, I think Chromatica is one of her best albums, right after Joanne, which was an underrated masterpiece.
Everything is so cohesive, thanks to the transitions. Lady Gaga also gave us memorable vocals, with Sine from Above with sir Elton John and 1000 Doves.
Without any surprise, collaborations fits really well in the album, a special shout-out to Rain on Me, which is iconic, but

Without any surprise, collaborations fits really well in the album, a special shout-out to Rain on Me, which is iconic, but also very deep, due to the lyrics. Even if this song is the most popular on the album, I believe it's the best one.

These are tracks that are built for individual consumption across a myriad of online platforms, so the composition of the album perhaps lessens in importance. There’s a lot of redeeming qualities to the tracks, but it’s a patchwork job more often than not. «Chromatica»’s main flaw lies in its indecisiveness. It has its moments, but it isn't an album to play on repeat.

But although having its flows, I have to admit that it is her most cohesive album so far, her most personal one as well as her album with some of her best tracks ever such as Alice, a beautiful song about searching for happiness despite going through dark times and wanting to give up, the amazing dance pop "Rain on me" with ariana grande, in which both pop divas sing about healing from their past trauma and "sour candy" with Blackpink. One of Gaga's most cohesive work yet maybe next to Born This Way. I love how the album is divided into sections with the songs following each interlude being of a different theme and telling a different story, narrative and set in a different tone. Chromatica I onwards is full of statements, acknowledging the things thay she loves, the things she believes in, the obstackes she faces, and ending with Fun Tonight flows directly into the darker and slightly angrier tone of Chromatica II. Chromatica II onwards speaks about the turth, what she's really thinking and going through. Here she accepts and screams everything she's thinking of at the top of her lungs. Her mental illness with 911 and Replay, objectification of women and misogyny with Plastic Doll and Sour Candy, and her versatility in Enigma. These all flow excellently into the epiphany which is Chromatica III onwards. Here we see Gaga finding comfort in music, and accepting that music can heal her in so many ways possible in Sine From Above. 1000 Doves showcases Gaga in peak sobriety and self-awareness, where she admits her shortcomings and imperfections, and says that she'll keep trying even if she knows she isn't perfect yet. Ending with a clever statement, Babylon talks about gossip and comparisons she has experienced in the music industry, especially with Madonna. In Babylon, she sings the lyrics "That's gossip, what you on? Money don't talk, rip that song, gossip, babble on, battle for your life, babylon." in a Vogue spoken word style, sassily taking a mick out of all the comparisons with her and Madonna.

All in all it's an amazing album, very cohesive, and perfectly encompasses the genre born from hardship and pain – house music. 10/10.

Treated/Auto-Tuned vocals? Check. Generic beats? Check. Even when her voice sounds committed (which can't be mustered for an entire song now, it seems), the music is mostly faceless, heard hundreds of times already from wannabe one-name divas who are only heard on the occasional dancefloor in perhaps Kansas by now. Vocal choices are unfortunate - Gaga's lower register is more nasal than ever, and if "Chromatica" proves one thing, it's that Gaga should never do rap or spoken-word; the results of those choices are the low point here. An Elton John cameo is what, 30 years too late to matter, and what's the point of Ariana Grande showing up if she doesn't add anything that Gaga couldn't have done herself? One may not be able to blame Gaga for wanting to get back to what sells after the one-two uuuuggghhh of "Artpop" and "Joanne", but as far as meeting the artistic bar she set for herself with "Born This Way", arguable plagiarism aside, she falls far short in both energy and execution. In some cases she can't even figure out how to end a song, so they just....stop. As, it seems, has she. She'll still sell to the faithful when she's 90, but if she was born this way it's cause for alarm, not celebration. It's not a good sign that the freshest sounds on a singer's dance album are in two short orchestral instrumental interludes. Even the cover could have been outdone by Dale Bozzio in her sleep, and about 80 percent of Gaga's fans are more interesting than this album. At least she didn't use R. Kelly. Expand

This album is made for people with mental diseases. It feels like a therapy. Such a great piece of work with an non-common theme

this album is gaga's most cohesive album to date. Every track she showed us her own struggles and experiences. the vocals, production and lyrics are all top notch.

Best tracks: Babylon, Fun Tonight, Free Woman and Plastic Doll. I hope she'd release this in 2019 - the time that influence of ASIB still be strong effect, little late my girl

Gaga commands the dance floor like no one else, this album proves it. The mix between 80s and 90s sounds and the lyricism creates an album with no skips, where even the “worst” songs are good.

Loved the album just wished she remembered that she's released a new album, She focusing on other things than something she's been working on for a few years.

Album of the year, simply amazing! It reflects all the feelings Gaga was having when she wrote the musics. The lyrics are so deep but at the same time the musics are so inspiring, it’s a complete experience.

Chromatica isn't bad per say, but why listen to almost an hour of a not so great album when you can listen to joanne or artpop? Mostly skips, two or smth highlights

It's a pretty good album, maybe even best in Gaga's career. But I can move from feeling that she made this just because her fans expected from her to go back to dance pop, I'm not sure how is she happy with this record. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Expand

The best album, this album doesn't need to have a ballad because you dance with sad songs, although, it lacked a little more preparation, it doesn't take away from the art that this album is.

People really don't appreciate this album enough. Chromatica for me is the best dance album released this year. It has pop, Avant pop, electro pop, synth pop, disco glam and house elements mixed together in a 16-track-album, but managed to stay cohesive. The album divided into 3 different acts, each of them has different sounds and represents different stories. In my opinion, act II is thePeople really don't appreciate this album enough. It has amazing written songs with very unique production such as 911 and Replay, which is the best song off the album. The first act is decent - any song from this section can be a radio hit. The weakest one definitely act 3, it started very beautiful with chromatica III interludes and Sine From Above, but the songs following that were just bad. 1000 Doves sounds like a Euro pop remix of a country ballad and Babylon sounds like a Sunday Service. The nostalgia in the production — a blend of crisp digital synth textures and ringing grooves drawn directly from '90s house music — further bolsters the shadowed euphoria of a song like "Sour Candy," in which Gaga is joined by the K-pop girl group Blackpink; "Sine from Above," featuring Elton John, gets a similar friction from the interplay between their voices.

Infectious, exciting and even a little hedonistic during some of the most confusing of modern times, now’s never been a better time to get lost in this new destination.

Chromatica’s frank grappling with the vagaries of Gaga’s brain – and the way fame exacerbates them – ends up feeling much more real than touring dive bars with a guitar and a Stetson ever did.
