TrevorR.Nov 6, 2003Blah, rather boring, not as catchy or addictive as their first album.

TimEJan 13, 2005Not groundbreaking, not even that great! There's a reason this band got little airplay!!!!!

EricF.Dec 6, 2004Overrated! Yeah, some of the songs are really great, but this album has just too much hype surrounding it. It's just a simple pop album: nothing groundbreaking, nothing special. Verse/chorus/verse yadda yadda.

JorisJan 21, 2007Not one of the best albums ever made, gets a bit too mellow overall with some standouts inbetween. However "So Says I" is one of the best songs in a long time. Thank The Shins for that!

UncutYou don't expect progression from such evident classicists, but there's a new clarity, poise and refinement. [Apr 2004, p.107]
