  1. Such storytelling songwriting on Close The Distance is unmatched by anything Lancaster has ever penned--and I mean ever.

Close the Distance is an album that does not only further separate Lancaster from his past--it also widens the gap between Go Radio and their peers. [Oct 2012, p.83]

As a whole, Close The Distance is a touch lacking for our ears.

Even though they don't quite have the fire that they used to, this more fully realized sound shouldn't have much trouble keeping their fans happy.

"Close the Distance" Go Radio's Sophomore album is catchy, meaningful, and just simply good music, but it's not their best work. Don't get me"Close the Distance" Go Radio's Sophomore album is catchy, meaningful, and just simply good music, but it's not their best work. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this album and i could listen to it on repeat for days (I have actually....) but once you get past lead singer Jason Lancaster's great voice and the bands amazing melodies, the lyrics don't stand up to their debut album "Lucky Street". Every song on Close the Distance is in fact a love song, about a boy and a girl, which as much as it pains me to say, becomes repetitive. In Lucky Street they talked about losing a father, the meaning of home, how to get through the aches of life, and then the good old love songs. Close the Distance has great lyrics yes, but they do not match the depth Lucky Street achieved.

All in all, the music is beautiful and very fun to listen to, but the lyrics don't match that superb quality. Nevertheless it is a great album and definitely worth your time.
