____ Rich sound, deep, immersing ... Most tracks take ambiguous shapes and are difficult to relate to any particular style. Something cosmic turned out and became one more step on the way of evolution in the world of electronic sounds. Few who managed to make electronic sounds so "alive".

not a bad album but... I don't know, it is so hard to relate to it. he will be more successful if compose such tracks for horror/mystery films' soundtracks. I always wonder how this kind of artists earn money!!

Although Cocoon Crush finds Hertz pushing in a more organic, expressive direction than on Flatland, it’s a record that is still stamped with his distinctive quirks--thanks no doubt to his studious self-editing--as he continues to chart a path as one of current electronic music’s most consistent producers.

Much like its cover art, Cocoon Crush can be recognized as something familiar, but you’re unlikely to be able to glean just what that is. It lies, distant and in waiting, ready to challenge you, with Objekt ever-seeking to open, both for his listeners and himself, new possibilities.

Four years later, Flatland still sounds ahead of its time, but Cocoon Crush is leagues beyond it. It shows a total disregard for club music’s strictures, concerned primarily not with floor-filling, but world-building.
