AphexNov 3, 2003I had the unfortunate displeasure of hearing this CD blaring from my roomates room yesterday. This CD is not just bad, it's Oh...My...God bad. You will be amazed at how effortlessly she destroys brilliant songwriting classics from Cat Stevens and Joe Jackson. I hope that Andy Partridge gets a chance to bloody her nose for destroying "Senses Working Overtime" too.

KatiePDec 26, 2003Poor Mandy. She has a great voice, but gets suckered into doing bad songs, and terrible movies.

Taking on familiar songs, though, always unearths the rough edges beneath the polish, especially when they sound flat wrong emanating from the mouth of America's peppiest nineteen-year-old.

Moore's voice has grown stronger, she updates the covers with some youthful enthusiasm, and, well, these songs are hard to screw up.

BlenderThese are big songs, and Moore's voice fills them out spectacularly, without turning the enterprise into a retro stunt. [Nov 2003, p.117]
