Jul 18, 2018Standout tracks: Children, Scary, Heaven Hell Anywhere Else, Suffer, Chains
Solid debut album. Nice variety of sounds here. At times you get a taste of Deftones or Glassjaw, but then you get the chorus of "Suffer" which sounds like it would have ruled a Top 10 at 10 countdown if this was 1995 alternative radio.

Aug 28, 2018Death Lust expands post-hardcore and its asphyxiating spatializations, giving the genre and the sweaty people in it room to breathe. Reinvigorated by this pneumatic procedure, respiration transpires: Chastity’s pulmonary labor sets the stifling structures of headphone listening alight, giving us light and letting us (mired in the heavy) feel light.

Jul 16, 2018The beauty of Death Lust lies in how Williams makes them all sound like part of the same continuum of disaffection, and how he approaches each mode with a pop songwriter’s ear for concision. Chastity's debut full-length is a brief album, with 10 songs clocking in at 31 minutes total, but the terrain it covers is vast.

Jul 13, 2018Death Lust is an exorcism of youth's most dramatic rehearsals, as well as, musically, an exercise in a concise adaptation of sharp '90s alt-rock between the harder side of Smashing Pumpkins, the softer side of Deftones, and the melodic end of post-hardcore.
