LucG.Aug 20, 2008Stop comparing this last album with Connected! I think the Stereo Mc's did a good job with Double Bubble, all the songs are pretty good.. its better than the ting tings (support by all the press).

As their sound comes into focus again, and their inflence is found to be more powerful than we first thought, there are mixed feelings on this latest Stereo MCs offering.

They're not quite back to those heady 'Connected' days, but the Stereos still have a mesmeric knack of making music bounce like a rubber ball.

Double Bubble is neither deep or dense enough for electronic connoisseurs, nor is it brash enough to spawn another "Connected" with kids sprung off of Justice or Hot Chip.
