Drenge’s debut is excellent, and it will no doubt have you appropriately ‘drenged’.

The sound of rock'n'roll at its most raw and untamed.

The album becomes more expansive in scope the further through you listen.
  4. Their self-titled debut, aptly enough, is one of the most bitterly anti-romantic albums this side of the third PiL offering.

The Loveless brothers’ way with a one-liner coupled with their dexterity with rock dynamics is what sets them apart from their peers.

There’s heaps of incendiary six-stringers, throttling beats and barbed tongues; it’s a potent brew that they peddle, but one that suits them just fine.

Drenge brothers Rory and Eoin Loveless exhibit virtually no overt blues influences, relying instead on the heavily distorted guitar riffs common to grunge and garage-band psychedelia.

fantastic debut, the name "drenge" fits perfectly with the murky, dirty, thick riffs that drive the songs. There is a clear Nirvana influencefantastic debut, the name "drenge" fits perfectly with the murky, dirty, thick riffs that drive the songs. There is a clear Nirvana influence but not to the point of imitation, instead edging more towards loud, catchy blues-rock. Fantastic album, nothing ground-breaking, but very very enjoyable. Expand
