May 14, 2017Lupe Fiasco found it difficult to write anything worthy of remembering here, with his uninspiring rhythmic layout and lazy song structures being annoying at worst and disappointing at best. My Score: 71/180 (Bad) = 3.9/10

Feb 15, 2017It doesn't have the otherworldly lyricism that we come to expect from Lupe but the flows are solid and the sonic range on this album is impressive. It won't blow you away like T&Y or his first 2 classic albums but Lupe never drops wack bars.

Feb 13, 2017lupe didn't even really try on this one and its still good he just put this one out os he can finish up his contract the next one will be really good I cant wait for it this one still have some gems on it though

Feb 13, 2017Appetizer for DROGAS.Although it's an appetizer it has some great highlights displaying lupes various styles.NGL Is a song only lupe could make combining trap and conscious rap.

Feb 12, 2017Fewer calories, slightly less robust taste, Drogas Light has some good social commentary in Lupe's famous lyricism with too many little flaws to dismiss.

Feb 11, 2017First half are fire, lyrical with some good beats. Not as legendary as tetsuo and youth but if u need a lyrical album instead of trap right now, this album gives us a good break from that stuff.

Feb 10, 2017Lupe is a remarkable talent. Drogas only solidifies that! For Lupe heads and music lovers alike Drogas is a breath of fresh air with Lupe stepping outside of his "Box" and spitting hot bars over trap beats. His intelligence and wittiness to gain the listeners ear while reaching deep down inside of his Mid West roots was surprising yet also flawless. Awesome work Mr. Fiasco.

Feb 17, 2017It falters beneath its own cynicism. Rather than continuing to forge his own sound in tandem with longtime producer Soundtrakk, he chooses to co-opt mainstream currency--the gangsta tropes of trap music, the club rhythms of EDM--and delivers a mix of parody and second-rate would-be radio singles.
-
Feb 16, 2017Not unlike Lasers, lots of songs on this album have focused verses from Lupe and large scale, sing-along choruses from featured guests, which both helps and hinders the overall listen.
-
Feb 15, 2017DROGAS Light isn't quite memorable, but Lupe's talent shines enough to save it from total obscurity. Not a bad effort, though.
