Gone are the hype songs like Gunmo that at least feel a bit original in their delivery and instead, he tries to replicate the dozens of sounds that trended throughout the year. All of his guest features, from Tory Lanez to two Kanye West verses, outshine him and are the only reason to hear the song. If you honestly needed a reason to ever listen to it. Expand

This album hardly feel's like a 6ix9ine album at times with how hard he relies on the features. You can take that for better or worse depending if you can stand the guy. lackluster garbage. who allows this man to release music? just plain awful. only standout track is "BEBE", mostly thanks to Latin American hitmaker Anuel AA. don't waste your time listening to this like I wasted mine.

Mostly the standard fare of Tekashi throwing sounds and flows at the wall, praying something sticks.

6ix9ine has proven good in some ways, and only knows how to make music when it's with Nicki Minaj or Kanye West. The whole album full of partnerships, we see a solo song that can not be heard with its pessimistic compositions and horrible productions.

Dummy Boy is not only the worst album released of 2018 but is one of the worst albums of all time. Этот ебаный высер студийной работой называться не смеет. Я даже постыжусь написать рецензию на этот альбом на английском языке. The beats are great but 6six9nine's flow gets old really quick, and it doesn't help when he sings drenched in autotune in Spanish on some the tracks. Some tracks can be considered bangers. Stoopid is a great opener. Fefe is so bad so it's almost good. Kanga with Kanye is enjoyable. But that's mostly about it. It's not complete trash but it's not a good album either.

Possibly the most overhated album I've seen. Reviews like Pitchfork's clown the artist and not the art, and while this album is still quite mediocre, it's got some great highlights, such as 'STOOPID' 'MAMA' and 'KANGA', as well as the Tory Lanez featuring 'TATI'. The low points are incredibly low, but the high points are some of the funniest and most outrageous of his career so far.

This album is carried by the guest appearances and beats. The contributions from A Boogie, Kanye West, and Nicki Minaj overshadow 6ix9ine completely, and the production make the songs into the hits they turn out to be.

Better than Day69. He showed all his rapping abilities and I liked it. He could've left BEBE and MALA, but other than that.. A great project.

This is pretty awful. If this is the future of hip hop, hip hop is in a bad place. A lot of the time he's barely even rapping, he's just screaming. It's just awful. The beats are bottom tier too. He doesn't have any impressive wordplay or good introspective lyrics, it's just trash.

6ix9ine might be the funniest rapper ever in social media, but what can you expect? His first album is garbage and it's easily can be described as annoying, vulgar, and retarded with no thematic significance whatsoever. Gucci Mane, Wacka Flocka Flame, and Chief Keef does it better than this rainbow headed clowb by delivering a killer soundtrack that bangs quite well.

Lixo igual a quem fez e "canta", mais um rapper que se acha o fogão e não passa de um meia boa que não presta nem para fazer um rap que presta

This album makes me wish the leak wouldn't have happened and caused 69 to force the release of the album. The story goes is.. I downloaded the leak and was even hYpEd at the moment and everyone who heard the leak was calling it 'fire' when going for a piss in the bathroom at school a few days prior to its release. After a few hours and coming home an entire say since I listened to it a good few times it seemed clear that a few songs with good production cannot save a rushed and talentless over featured album when it's on the same underwhelming, ear bleeding, loud, hot garbage the rest of the album is. Half the songs are merely memes, the single 'STOOPID' features a meme, two stereotypical latino pop trap songs, and two Kanye features who at the time is being constantly memed about as much as the likes of Mr. six-nine. There was another confusing song that left me laughing over how when listening to it I had liked but hearing an unfamiliar voice just to realize that it was the first time I've heard 69 rap normally if not opposite of how he raps and brought me back to how this album is just built on production, loudness, and hype, that there's is like no direction on the record. It's a culmination of songs for a radio station playing Trippie Redd or for any h y p e b e a s t s still listening to mobamba. I can't lie, Kanye and a third of the production was pretty good but ruined behind 69s screaming ego. The album was ass before it even released, Expand

Dummy Boy would be better if it was worse. 6ix9ine doesn’t show any sign of knowing how to write a complete song, let alone curate a whole album. But he’s also too unimaginative to write anything so jaw-droppingly awful that it needs to be heard to be believed.

Dummy Boy is unlikely to disappoint 6ix9ine fans, but for everyone else, there's little to back up the hype and controversy associated with the self-professed "King of New York."
  3. 20
DUMMY BOY is an insufferable 13-track farrago of anything from rock riffs to calypso drums, all pinned by 6ix9ine’s obsessive use of the “n” word, along with every other negative trope found in the gangsta rap of the early Noughties. ... Avoid.
