    I am a big fan of Tricky. The only album which I consider a disaster is Vulnerable. The mistake is that every album after Maxinquaye is always compared to it. He surely evolves on every album, experiments especially on albums he made in 90 's. Knowle West Boy and False Idols are the best albums he made in this millennium, perhaps closest to his eponymous debut.

    This is the Tricky album I have been waiting for since Blowback! The beats are fresh and exciting, the vocals haunting and beautiful. False Idols is the most cohesive and inventive album Tricky has released in over a decade and one of the best albums of the year thus far.

    False Idols is vintage Tricky, which means it could slot in at around 1997--the melodies are spare, the beats spacey, the vibe dark.
