    As much as I love Juliana Hatfield, I have to admit that the songs written by Freda Love are the best here. She does a great job on "Launchpad", which is my favorite track. "Almost True" is another standout, though Freda generously let Juliana sing lead on that one. As for the rest, the single, "Necessito" is too repetitive and gets old really fast. It might be a hit with the unwashed masses who aren't Juliana fans, but trust me, she can do much better. "On My Back" and "The Prettiest Girl" are okay, but also too repetitive. The rest is pretty forgettable. If it weren't for Freda's songs, I'm sad to say I'd give this album a "5" instead of "7". Also, why is Jake Smith so involved in the production and arrangements? These girls don't need Some Guy getting involved! Seriously, he makes the songs sound like the Mysteries Of Life. Nothing against that band, but Some Girls should have their own distinctive sound.… Expand
