In a more cohesive album and fully focused on super productions and good compositions and larger participations, the lack of a member disappeared. Their harmony together was a very high point of this album that proved once and for all that they are professional yes! R&B's investment was the icing on the cake, I'd get in my car and listen to the album all the way.

Fifth Harmony, even in difficult times and losses in its composition made an incredible album and that really saw detail and finger of each. We have generic songs, we have sad songs, dances and reflections! The flex album I usually call. Amazing.

This is a mixture of soft and eccentric rhythms that are concentrated in the harmonic dance that the 4 former members have, after the departure of camila pelo we all imagined that they would focus on an album of hints but it was just the opposite, congratulations for their album so personal and full of good rhythms.

But at least in older albuns the songs had a feminine empowerment messege, now most are just very sexual or average (i have nothing against this, is just not my style). The most annoying thing is: They all are vary talented but the style of the songs never showcase the potential that they can achive, it's really a shame. Expand

I honestly was hoping for more. After the fifth member left I thought they would improve since she had the most distinct voice, but no, they still the same thing. Maybe the name should change from Fifth Harmony to No Harmony. And that is not even what bothered me most, it was actually the empty lyrics, only one of the tracks was more elaborate. Really disappointed!

Honestly the album kinda sucks, the songs ain't memorable and the integrants voices are not as strong or memorable enough, even though Jauregui has shown some potential. Their debut album, Reflection, and the second album, 7/27, are way better than the third album. Without Cabello, the group seems to be weak and ruined.

If you thought Fifth Harmony were sexing things up way too much with their smashes “Worth It” or “Work From Home”, you may not be ready to handle “Fifth Harmony”, their third studio album. In recent interviews, the girls have stated that the “manufactured girl group” is long gone and that this was the very first time they were hands on their own music. The girls got to write their songsIf you thought Fifth Harmony were sexing things up way too much with their smashes “Worth It” or “Work From Home”, you may not be ready to handle “Fifth Harmony”, their third studio album. In recent interviews, the girls have stated that the “manufactured girl group” is long gone and that this was the very first time they were hands on their own music. The girls got to write their songs and choose the direction they wanted to go with.

“Down” wasn’t really a good representation of that. Sounding like a recycled version of the smash “Work From Home”, the single ended up underperforming despite of its dancehall influences. It was also in charge of opening the album and, to be quite honest, it can easily be named as one of the weakest links in it. In Fifth Harmony’s defense, it’s not like this record contains a lot of obvious hits in it as they took a less pop approach with it. The new single - “He Like That” - does bring a Pop flavour into the game but its lyrics are obviously influenced by urban music: “He got that dope boy cash, but he get it nine to 5ing”. In the pop zone we can still find “Make You Mad” that includes the tropical house popularized by Justin Bieber.

This mix of Pop, dancehall and R&B is continuously heard throughout the record making it a very cohesive album - something that has been missing in 5H’s albums as their team always preferred to test the waters first. Nonetheless, “Fifth Harmony” has more to offer other than love or sex songs. “Sauced Up”, for instances, allows Fifth Harmony to celebrate the nightlife and delivers one of their best club anthems. On the other hand, “Bridges” takes a complete political approach and an obvious shade towards Donald Trump: “We build bridges… Bridges not walls.” I am proud!

But who say they were angels? Well, they certainly sound likes ones in the touching (and only ballad) “Don’t Say You Love Me” and in the slow R&B jam “Messy” where they accept their flaws but in the rest of “Fifth Harmony”, it’s hard to see them as ones. We have had already some proves of that in songs such as “Down” (“'Cause baby, you know how to take that cake), “Make You Mad” (“Can't take the heat, coming from the inside out”) and even “He Like That” but more evidences can be found and not only sexually.

“Angel” and “Lonely Night” (my ultimate favorite!) set things quite straight with their men: “If you got another chick on the side, bye-bye, bye-bye”. This type of women empowerment takes me to another topic… A lot of people will obviously criticize Fifth Harmony for sexing up their music but, to my ears, they are only expressing their confidence and sexuality. “Deliver” is a great example of showcasing women empowerment and confidence by being aware that they know their body and they know their worth: “I never hit or miss, he know I always come through”. Slay that boy!

That is a great way of wrapping up this review. Yes, “Fifth Harmony” show a more mature side of the group and allows them to explore their sexuality more than ever. A lot will not agree but more than a simple girl group that solely sings about heartbreak, Fifth Harmony are here to empower women and be a role model to them. They’ve been doing that right from the start: “C-O-N-F-I--D-E-N-T. That’s Me. I’m Confident.” from “BO$$”, their first major single.

With the drop of their member Camila Cabello, Fifth harmony also drop in music quality. They still need to find their identity as a group.
The album is full of generic summer "bops" with no correlation, most of the songs are recreations of their biggest hits. Nothing new or surprising.
Except for Sauced Up - A chill summer bop
Bridges - A nice upbeat ballad with cute meaning
And Angel - A trap r&b sexy bop

The other songs are straight generic trash with repetitive chorus.
Also I don't know why they claim to "co-write" their songs, they used like 6 writers to make simple songs like "Sauced up".
I had big expectations for this but it's too generic and expose how loose they are without the lead member Camila.

The main problem with this album is the timing: it is evident that the girls where forced to release the album as soon as possible in order to exploit the media attention from Camila's departure. The result is that "Fifth Harmony" sounds like hasty, but, overall, it remains a good pop album with more R&B and Urban influences when compared with its predecessors.

4 - Make you mad : Ok song I guess
5 - Deliver : The second best song, cool beat. Ally tone is sometimes annoying.
6- Lonely night : Cute song but again Ally. Thank god for Dinah !!!!!
7 - Don't say you love me: Yes for the Lyrics!!
8 - Angel : TG for Dinah on the chorus again, lyrics are really basic and repetitive. Normani chorus vocals are kind of bad 1 :53 " But you was wrong, oh yeah...." and they keep that!!!!!
9 - Messy : Maybe the best song of the album if you forgive the fact that the chorus is maybe half of the song
10 - Bridges : Good beginning but after that the lyrics and melodies EWWW!! Again who wrote this? I was done with this song halfway through.

    Overall thoughts:
Dinah is the best element of the group and save this album. They should have choose Messy and Deliver for singles. The album is really short (10 tracks) and they're no HIT song. Some ok and good song but nothing to make a real statement. Forgettable album for me and unfortunately I think that it's gonna be their last album because this can't do too well on the charts.

This album left me wondering where would they be now if they took this path from the start. I think they would've dominated sad they needed to experience such horrible thing to move on to better things. nevertheless, I'm adding it to my playlist "ext Bridges" . All the love to the ladies of Fifth harmony "Ally, Normai, Dinah and Lauren". Expand

El álbum es muy variado, se nota mucha diferencia a como eran antes las 5, ahora están mostrando el otro lado de la moneda, donde sin Camila pueden seguir haciendo buena música, el álbum me gustó demasiado.

The R&B feel with the overall use of trap inspired beats make it such a good album. Yes, it is true that there are barely any memorable songs in this album, but the fact that the girls gave this their blood sweat and tears show how dedicated they are to this band. Plus, the R&B feel is where they fit the most and they nailed it in this album.

I love this album, its so good. Im glad that they were able to write their own songs and express themselves through their music. Love that you can actually hear their voices, no one is trying to overpower everyone else voice like before. Bridges is such an amazing song, the message of the song is strong and beautiful.

Fifth Harmony's self-titled album exemplifies pop perfection. Sonically, this is their best album yet, and for sure the women of Fifth Harmony are not shy in expressing this very same sentiment. Each of the women's voices are very distinct and this is highlighted in the album's most attention grabbing tracks - "Deliver", an ode to a woman's ability to do just that; "Lonely Night", an experimental track that exudes attitude worthy of a place on the radio; and the album's centerpiece "Don't Say You Love Me", a track encrusted with grand vocals and vulnerability that will leave anyone with a tear or two (this song could definitely be a global hit if given the chance, and even a Grammy if the Academy finally pays attention to girl groups). The group's next single, "He Like That" is ear candy for anybody that can appreciate a good pop song that doesn't try to be something it's not. Fifth Harmony understand their strengths and weaknesses and accurately plays their cards right. A ten track album might be easy to ignore, but with bombastic production and themes that can transcend time, "Fifth Harmony" has earned a place in pop culture and a permanent place in the greatest girl group albums of all time. - V.N. It turns out that all of their albums have been just wonderful. This album is just as good as their last one (7/27) which is a big compliment. "Lonely Night" is my favorite song, the way they played with the production is staggering and the vocals are impressive.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is an album that gave me all the feelings there are. This album transfers from a club vibe to a sad vibe, from an upbeat song to a ballad and there are some songs with important meanings, namely the song Bridges. The song has lyrics such as: ' We know love can conquer hate' and 'Because love's worth fighting for'. It is a song about equality, everyone is beautiful and we are stronger united.

This album really shows the potential of each girl (Normani, Ally, Dinah and Lauren). You can hear them sing really low and other times hitting those high notes. In some songs, you can hear their voices get emotional and in others, you can hear them just 'having fun'.

This album, so far, is the best album Fifth Harmony has brought to our daily life. No, I am not exaggerating. The songs on this album are co-written by the lovely girls, they even produced some sounds to a couple songs. These girls experimented with their ideas for this album and I would like to say that the girls succeeded in making a beautiful work of art.

This album contains 10 songs, is co-written by Fifth Harmony and has already won a VMA.

I really recommend this album to everyone who enjoys listening to meaningful lyrics, from upbeat to ballad songs, beautiful voices and wants to be part of the soon-to-be won Grammy.

Fifth Harmony's album is on another level because they had a chance to write on this album and didn't stick to pop-ish vibe but take risks to experiment their voices that they should do in their last 2 albums. This is the most cohesive album they've ever done. Well done!

I have never really being into this group's music before except for a couple of songs but this album changed my opinion about them. I think they gave their most cohesive album and they got to show how much power and talent these girls have. It felt like they used to be the underdogs but this is really a proof they are talented enough to continue with the group and be very successful. It's definitely a very cohesive body of work which we haven't had in pop for a while, and this being the first time they engage creatively it's very promising and deserves it your attention, buy it and stream. #ForaTemer #ForaTrump Expand

Fifth Harmony isn’t offensively bad, in fact, it sits quite comfortably with many other acts dominating the charts at the moment. But it’s too safe, too by-the-numbers, too beige to stand up to even Fifth Harmony’s previous work, which carried more lyrical and musical heft.

A workmanlike pop album, vocally immaculate and sonically au courant, but seldom more than functional.
