RobO.Mar 20, 2008I have listened to this cd probably 20 times in the last week. I was never a fan of these guys (i thought there sound has always been unpolished and some what cliche - LA band playing irish tunes - chemon) Needless to say, these guys have done something special here and I don't need to get into a lot of details to say that I am addicted to their sound on this cd.

MichaelC.Jun 6, 2008Flogging Molly has been poplar with younger people who don't really know that these guys n girls are in their late 30s and early 40s. This album shows their age and maturity. It is probably the best yet. Still energetic but not nearly as much as the older stuff. I loved it.

crazymikeApr 20, 2008Haven't heard it enough times to love it, but it doesn't seem to have the "it" factor of previous cd's. Absolutely my favorite band tho.

Alternative PressDecidedly mature and unapologetically soulful, Float is one of the most important records of this young year. [Apr 2008, p.148]
-
With Float they’ve delivered another strong album that is more assured than their other records, and offers a hopeful energy.

It's the band's most diverse album yet—and, diversity being their strength, it's also their most accomplished.
