Feb 1, 2020This album is a letdown in every conceivable way. I honestly can’t believe lil Wayne thought this was an acceptable album. Yikes.

Feb 5, 2020Actually had high expectations for this album but it was really underwhelming. Wayne's use of autotune is horrible and it feels like he's drowning throughout the whole album.

Apr 14, 2020I was disappointed by this album. I don't know if Lil Wayne's working with different producers or what but the beats seemed kinda stale. Lil Wayne's rapping and lyrics aren’t at their best here either. Clap for Em and I Do It are the stand out tracks.

Feb 27, 2020As i am listening to this album, the general feel is that i am not listening to an album at all, since it does not bring anything more than medium and repetitive production and exaggerated lyrics like he does not find any motive to rap anymore, and on top of it all, we have 24 tracks , and sometimes half of songs actually. So i can't give more then a 5.

Feb 9, 2020There's a lot to appreciate here but a lot more that I just want to turn off. Wayne's dark experimental overtones get downplayed by these utterly useless background tracks that chalk up the run time to an unbearable hour and 16 minutes. Generic and feigning actual emotion, this newest album falls about as flat as everyone expected.

Mar 16, 2020Cobbled together in the style of a compilation rather than a cohesive album, it's a wonky, slightly disappointing collection that provides diamonds and duds in equal measure.

Feb 19, 2020Whether or not listeners make it through all 24 tracks on Funeral, it’s easy to see what Wayne is definitely in his own world. His rhyming remains unlike anyone else in the entire genre and despite this album not being his strongest, you don’t have to go far to find a Wayne quotable that inherently makes one admire his seasoned lyrical dexterity.

Feb 11, 2020Wayne, much like in his mixtape days, is finally having fun again. And when he does that, the results are captivating.
