I have followed the Apes since their inception in 1999. This band has proven over and over that their song-writing skills, live performance, artistic integrity, and dedication to their craft is superior in every way. In a world where American Idol is the source of music for many Americans, this band deserves a home with 4 thrones. Ghost Games is simply fantastic!

This album is innovative, exciting, dancey, heavy, and simply fascinating to hear. It is infectious. I haven't been able to get the songs out of my head for days. Apes haven't let me down yet.

This is one of the most overlooked/ misunderstood bands of the decade. Ghost Games blows away 99% of the flacid indie poop that is out right now.

  1. Apes aren’t about to crack that ‘til now ignorant mainstream with this fourth offering, but established acolytes and curious newcomers will find much indeed to be super-stoked about.
  2. It’s a decent formula, and Ghost Games moves well for the first half or so, but Apes run it into the ground over rest of the album.
  3. Ghost Games is nothing so profound, but it certainly is something to bring out of the closet once a year or so.
