Jul 30, 2017Some of the strongest beats I've ever heard—Exile is really going wild on this album. These are immaculately designed instrumentals with beautiful samples and incredible flourishes and variations, optimized for the many competent MCs featured on this album to go over, but no one quite as beautifully and motormouthed like Blu. This album is easy to sink into, and hard not to move with.

Sep 27, 2012Whether or not Give Me My Flowers lives up to expectations as a proper sequel may be of some debate, but this album in its finished state definitely impresses.

Sep 27, 2012Enjoyment of Give Me My Flowers While I Can Still Smell Them will probably be directly correlated to the listener's ability to separate it from Below the Heavens. That in itself is a testament to the talent of the two artists involved, who have more than any flowers that come their way.

Sep 27, 2012Though this album is a beautiful, well-executed listen, Blu will only really be fulfilling his potential when he starts looking toward the future again.
