perfect from start to finish, yeule never disappoints when it comes to making a consistent album, they managed to smoothly merge mainstream pop & experimental cyber pop on the same record.

Such a good album, yeule’s artistic growth from Serotonin II (also an incredible album) is so satisfying to see. The album is very dark, emotional and raw but ethereal at the same time. A rollercoaster of emotions in the best way possible. All songs are 9-10/10s except for Perfect Blue. Incredible album loved experiencing it!

A failed innovative-trying-to-be album. Vocals are not overwhelming. Production is good especially those songs produced by Harle but it still didn't save the album from being flat. It's like every song is an interlude. This is a 13 tracks of boredom especially the last track. The repetitive lyrics? I don't like it.

Yeule’s second album is overwhelming. It’s a character study of a deeply pained person and their experiences with love, drugs and depression. The way Yeule uses their art to be so honest about their darkest despairs and brightest hopes is brave and admirable.

I can’t remember the last time I read lyrics that made my skin crawl so much, or heard production that gave me such intense goosebumps. Yeule has honed their production here, showcasing such a diverse range of styles and sounds that perfectly reflect the lyrical content. Yeule’s music reminds me of Junji Ito’s stories, flirting between two worlds of nightmarish depravity and awe-inspiring beauty.

In fact, a lot of this album deals with heavy contrasts. Pop and experimental, beauty and horror, hope and despair, digital and real. And Yeule is so successful at crafting an album that bounces between these opposing realities while also remaining a cohesive listen with a clear narrative from start to end.

There is also a bonus track for the digital version of the album which is a nearly 5 hour drone piece. I really enjoy this track, but I’m not quite sure what to make of it. Mandy, as the regular album closer, ends the story by succumbing to despair, with the scars from the start of the album growing deeper and deeper. Maybe the drone piece is an alternate ending, a different route of hope and healing. After all the pain Nat has been through on this album, I sure hope this is the case, and that they’re doing alright now.

Its hypnotic, steady pulse distracted you from the fact that they sang about wanting to die. That overactive death drive persists on yeule’s second album, Glitch Princess, elevating relationship troubles into Shakespearean psycho-dramas backed by soundscapes massive enough to contain them.

Glitch Princess is consistently inventive, disturbing, and timely.

Balanced on the bleeding edge of Yeule’s morbid visions, Glitch Princess practically crackles with vitality and affirmation in their desperate, unadulterated, damaged, awkward willingness to show all and be heard. Does that make it inspiring or depressing? I don’t care. It’s the most meaningful music I’ve heard in years.
