Dec 22, 2016The 4Fourth Masterpiece of U2, Follow By The Joshua Tree (1987), Achtung Baby (1991) & All That You Can't Leave Behind (2000).
Even with 9 winning grammy for this album i think that the fans and the own U2 underrated this Brilliant album -
Sep 30, 2016After opening a new millenium strong with All That You Can't Leave Behind, this album and it's forgettable alternative rock set U2 on a downward spiral.

Oct 21, 2015More than half of negative reviews should be erased 81 negative reviews from this album???? Really???
Even Songs Of Innocence 2014 that isn't great album don't deserve a negative review i gave 6 for Songs Of Innocence 2014 that i considered a so-so weak record of U2 without doubt HTDAAB is a hard punch compared to SOI in this album U2 won all 9 nominations of grammy and not won for nothing... -

Jul 6, 201581 imbecis que não sabem o significado de U2,poderiam morrer e anula seus votos inúteis e imaturos. HTDAAB é U2 em melhor forma sem mentira tinham que anular no mínimo esses 81 votos para não precisa mata-los;

Dec 23, 2014Excelente Album!
A 4 Obra Prima Do U2,Os Outros São The Joshua Tree,Achtung Baby E All That You Can't Leave Behind.
Todas São Excelentes Mas Essas São As Top.
Top How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb.
1-City Of Blinding Lights
2-Miracle Drug
3-Yahweh
4-Sometimes You Can't Make It Our Own
5-Original Of The Species
6-Crumbs From Your Table
7-All Because Of You -
Dec 9, 2014This album wants to be high-energy, but never fully gets what it wants. Once again, this U2 album opens up with its best song, Vertigo. Tracks like Love and Peace or Else are obviously trying to be edgy, but just fall flat. Once again, U2 just seems to have lost what made them legendary.

Jun 15, 2012Top record from U2 - it's got it all. Hit singles, rock anthems, lighters in the air moments and some great production as well. Bono and co should the world how you make a stadium sized rock album. Although there isn't much experimentation on it and its pretty standard guitar rock, its got some of the bands finest moments on it. There are only a couple of non outstanding tracks on here.
-
Jan 30, 2012When a new U2 album comes out, you hope there is some sort of progression or evolution. How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb doesn't accomplish either of those. HTDAAB sounds like a band that has hit a wall of pretentiousness.
-
Apr 30, 2011A good album...but they're losing a bit of their older distinct sound that made them U2. A couple of the songs are a bit similar to previous songs. But they still sounded great, I think. 'Vertigo' sounded wonderful. It was kind of a newer-sounding U2, but it was them. I liked it.

AristonBSep 21, 2009The worst album of U2. They could tour without this crap. Maybe 3 songs worth listening. New low.
-
-
JohnKFeb 19, 2009I love U2. I hate this album. I even liked Pop and I hate this album. The difference? The lyrics all the way. Pop had interesting lyrics, this has boring, straightforward and unpoetic. It's a terrible, terrible album.

-
JalexDFeb 15, 2009A stellar collection of songs, even if it doesn't gel as nicely as nearly all their other albums. Still it stands as a peak for one of the world's greatest artists ever, as well as being the best album of 2004.

tylerkJun 24, 2008Marginal. U2 used to have a distinct sound. This blends nicely with the proliferation of mediocrity on the radio. Possibly the weakest lyrics on any U2 record, "I'll give you everything that you want..except the thing that you want" Everything after zooropa has been marginal at best.
-
-
GeorgeC.Feb 7, 2008Totally irrelevant. U2 hasn't made a good record since War. If these guys aren't careful... in 5 years they're going to end up opening for Hinder or Nickelback on a tour of gay biker bars... in Bulgaria.

MusicLoverOct 21, 2007I was so excited when I first got this album. Then I listened to it & all I felt was disappointment. I expected more from U2. I still got faith in Bono & the gang, though.

GuyEFeb 13, 2007Of course this doesnt live up to The Joshua Tree or The Unforgettable Fire, but then again, what does? This is actually a lot better than a lot of new music out there and while it pales in comparison to some of their older work it is still well worth a listen.

MozzaRJan 23, 2007What can I say, they r the greatest band in the world, and the album lives up 2 it, at first the songs don't sound catchy, but once u listen to them one or more times, they sound better and better everytime. That's magic!

CarloscarlosApr 1, 2006Perfect. The best album since Achtung Baby (1991). The sound of the guitar in Miracle Drug, Sometimes You Can't Make... or in Original Of The Species is wonderful and lyrical. Not bad songs, only pure music.

DavidWMar 1, 2006Legends...of faith, hope, and love. Grace. Maybe not as "cool" as the use to be, but still have more soul in their big toes than a million other band combined. Good songs from an unforgettable fire.

AbishekJNov 16, 2005how the combined user rating is 6.8 defies belief. This is one of the best records you will ever hear in your life. Bono is a genius, this is what we expect of geniuses, albums that rock and have powerful meaning from start to finish.

-
SamDOct 11, 2005one of the better albums of 2004 nowhere near best. top 50 spot, like maybe 29. sometimes you cant make on your own overrated, miracle drug, yahweh and love and peace or else severely underrated
-
-
TomBOct 1, 2005While not their best work, it certainly ranks up there in releases in 2004 outshining most bands half their age in a youth oriented industry

-
ZackASep 26, 2005This is one of those albums that, after repeated listening, reveals its intrecacies to the listener slowly. One realizes the complexly interwoven themes that tie the songs together and the overarching reach towards the answer to the question posed in the title: Love.

-
-
MattAug 27, 2005Fantastic album from beginning to end. U2 just can't seem to go wrong... (if you pass a blind eye over "Pop") A fantastic live band such as them combined with these huge arena rocking anthems is just an amazing experience.
-
-
ChriscoMAug 26, 2005Vertigo is a very misleading track that doesn't at all foreshadow the rest of the album. I'd rather listen to "pop" or "the passengers" anytime than force my way through this one. The drums and percussion are lost in the mix somewhere.

AlexandreCJul 18, 2005Simply the best U2 album in many years.
-
-
RodrigoMJul 3, 2005Half of the songs sound like U2 repeating the same song over and over. Plus the production just doesn't help the record which falls short on almost every aspect. There's still a few songs that stand over mediocrity, but they're not enough to save this album from being one of the worst U2 releases.

-
-
EDBurattoJun 15, 2005A brilliant record by all accounts. It's better than ATYCLB, not quite as good as Achtung Baby, but definately a classic by any measure; this is one of u2's strongest albums to date. It was the best album released in 2004, and better than anything released so far in 2005. Enjoy!

JosephDMay 15, 2005U2 is cool stuff and yes I am 20 not 50. The bomb is full of good tunes containing amazing sonic guitat rifts and powerful vocals from one of the greatest rock singers of all time. U2 are still relivent as ever and they have the talent and tecnique to back their claim to be the bigest band in the world up

Awards & Rankings
-
This time, Steve Lillywhite and the other producers assembled simply construct a U2 album in miniature, mixing in the Edge's processed-guitar trademark whenever you fear they're straying into unforgivable un-U2ness. That's just not enough.
-
This is grandiose music from grandiose men, sweatlessly confident in the execution of their duties.
-
While the rest of the album fails to live up to the breadth of “City” and “Crumbs,” and while it takes serious missteps on the shockingly bad “Man and a Woman” and “Yahweh,” this is, by and large, an album to be thankful for, regardless of your demographic.
