Jul 30, 2023As a 1990's era Kyuss fan, I have loved this band since 1998. In my opinion, all of their albums have been fantastic or, at least, good. This one is neither. Check out Sicily and Emotion Sickness. The last few minutes of Straight Jacket Fitting are nice. Other than that, it's a severely disappointing album.

Jul 14, 2023Takes a while to click but once it does it’s really enjoyable. Best tracks are Obscenery, Paper Machete, Sicily, Negative Space, Emotion Sickness. There isn’t a dud on here, enjoy!!!!

Jul 20, 2023Really disapointing album. No life to it; some tracks sound like (better) songs from previous albums whilst the others are uninspired or boring. Pains me to say, having bought all their albums and seen them several times... they need to find their fire again.

Jul 3, 2023QOTSA are evolving. is this good? is it bad? Some welcome this change, other predictably don't . Sure the nostalgia of the post-Kuyss days seems to be gradually fading away on their records, But it is opening doors to a new musical 'beast', which hopefully will only get better with time. Strong songwriting here, with fewer stomps on the on the fuzz pedal.

Jun 30, 2023I like each and every song from the album, even those least listen like Straight Jacket Fitting which is a masterpiece btw
-
Jun 28, 2023There's a good reason why QoTSA albums are often judged against Song's For The Deaf. SFTD is a GREAT album full of memorable and tuneful songs. In Times... on the other hand is not. It's dull and makes little if any impression even after repeat listenings.
-
Jun 23, 2023Probably their third best album ever. No bad songs and a few masterpieces, such as the two final songs of the album: Emotion Sickness, and Straight Jacket Fitting.

Jun 23, 2023Queens have proven themselves to be the most consistent and accomplished rock band of their generation. These songs take a few listens to truly "get." But once you do, MAN, do you get them. It is a hard-hitting and deeply emotional record. Homme's best lyrical work to date. I truly varied and wonderful listen. I think it is their best album since Era Vulgaris.

Jun 22, 2023I've disliked, even hated some of my favorite albums on first listening. Some albums need time to grow. I've tried really hard to like ITNR but I just don't. It's so bland I can't be bothered to give it any more time.
-
Jun 22, 2023Despues de Rated R, Songs For The Deaf y Lullabies, el mejor disco de los Queens Of The Stone Age.
-
Jun 22, 2023Im glad I've not gone mad and other hardcore QOTSA fans are calling this album for what it is: dull. Nothing stands out apart from maybe the last 3 songs (Sicily, Sickness and Jacket). It's doing my head in that so many of these type of albums get a 10/10 from loads of people when they've nothing to deserve it...

Jun 20, 2023Como de costume, mais um excelente trabalho de uma das maiores bandas da atualidade. Para mim a maior na verdade. Destaque do álbum vai para Obscenery, Negative Space, Time & Place e Carnavoyeur.
Sou fã de Queens of the Stone Age desde a minha adolescência e só posso agradecer por crescer ouvindo esses caras. -
Jun 20, 2023This is a very good album. I don't think there's a single QOTSA Album I dislike. Very good job.
-
Jun 19, 2023As a QOTSA fan, I really wanted to like if not love the new album but even after repeated listenings I don't. There isn't a single standout track on the album, it's just totally forgettable.
-
Jun 17, 2023IT'S ANECDOTIC WHAT HATERS type here. QOTSA are not for you. Frustrated bunch "peoplehole
-
Jun 18, 2023Straight jacket fitting and Sicily are the masterpieces of this album, The two singles, Carnavoyeur and Emorion Sickness are good songs too but the rest of the album feels lot weaker than their previous releases. Worst QOTSA album to dato. I'm a long time fan and I think that it is pretty normal for a band to drop something not-so-great from time to time.
-
Jun 18, 2023This album is one of the more, over/under the surface, aggressive records, And If you choose to listen carefully, this band always maintains the sonic tropes they’ve had since the beginning, even though the band may change direction. And that’s OK, if you’re not stuck in the past.

Jun 17, 2023Can't believe all the positive reviews. In Times New Roman is easily Queens.. worst album and Villains was pretty average.
-
Jun 17, 2023In Times New Roman... is exactly the dark, angry album I was expecting. Every track is amazing, and while generally not as catchy as songs like "No One Knows," there are plenty of amazing riffs to be found. Some of their best work to date, and I personally think this is the #1 album of the year.

Jun 16, 2023I've been a QoTSA fan since I first heard Rated R, but with the exception of Songs For the Deaf they've been going down hill ever since. In Times New Roman is absolute trash.

Jun 16, 2023QOTSA are starting to sound like a parody of themselves. As if a bad tribute band are doing their own material. Homme et al are just coasting now and this album if just utterly forgettable.
-
Jun 16, 2023I thought Villains was a career nadir for QOTSA. I was wrong. ITNR is their worst album to date. Not a single song makes any impression whatsoever.

Jun 16, 2023The album takes an great trip thru rock and shows us that they can still make great albums even after all those years. Great album but have it´s difficulties, like some poor mix on some songs or even riffs that don´t fit with the album atmosphere, but it´s a great record
-
Jun 16, 2023I've been anticipating a new QoTSA album for years and this album is exactly what I've been hoping for. The lyrics are captivating, the guitars sound crisp and heavy, and the drumming is exceptional. Each of the 10 songs are unique and memorable but consistent throughout. It may not be 100% perfect but I'm giving it a 10/10 for one of my all-time favourite bands.
-
Jun 16, 2023this is probably the heaviest, darkest QOTSA album since Era Vulgaris. This album has some element from some of the classics like rated R, Lullabies to Paralyze, Era Vulgaris and then you mixed it with their current Villains melodic style. great album overall, but i can see some people might called this album 'meh' since this album is definitely a grower like Era Vulgaris.
-
Jun 16, 2023The rhythm section, the use of strings, the vocals, the brutality and vulnerability of the lyrics, and god the f-ing guitars!

Jul 26, 2023This isn’t the best place to start with Queens of the Stone Age (R and Songs for the Deaf remain their high points), but longtime fans should be happy to have them back again.
-
Jul 19, 2023In Times New Roman… is classic Queens of the Stone Age in all its grit and posture, but with a newly found lyrical resonance, making it a worthy late addition to their consistently upstanding catalog.

UncutJun 22, 2023A potent, heavy distillation of everything the group have done. [Aug 2023, p.30]
