FilterIrresistible. [#22, p.93]
An almost-perfect blend of '60s-style Britpop, '90s-style Britpop, and the post-punk of the new millennium, Inside In/Inside Out is the rare debut that features not only the kind of exuberance/naivete that only bunch of nineteen-year-olds could produce, but also the thoughtful consistency characteristic of seasoned professionals.
New Musical Express (NME)An eclectic but thoroughly satisfying record. [21 Jan 2006, p.35]

These guys are very talented and deserve some praise. Songs don't have to be so different that they are bizarre and depressing to be good songs. So why have I not written a review before now. Probably because my time has been used to sit and listen to them and wonder how The Kooks created such a great debut. This album is deserving of a 9. I think it has originality in comparison to a lot of new bands. And variety. It's soft, laid back, but with that 'rocky' beat. It seems that Luke Pritchard has adopted Johnny Borrells style of singing, but adapted it making the songs more original and in a way, exciting. A definite recommendation. Tres Bon!… Expand
