Mar 16, 2018Jericho Sirens is rock & roll in its purest form; angry, white-hot, and overloaded with energy. It's good to have Hot Snakes back to show the posers and fakers how to do things the right way.
-
Mar 23, 2018This is the first Hot Snakes record since 2004 and it sounds every inch as if it was formed in the same mould as the last three, despite all of the work that John and Rick have done together and apart since then.
-
Mar 15, 2018This is yet another example of Hot Snakes at the top of their game, except this time they gave 14 years in exile for other, lesser bands to catch up with them only to reclaim the throne with ease.
-
Mar 14, 2018Jericho Sirens is truly spirited rock'n'roll that hits you directly, but it's also enigmatic and increasingly rewarding the deeper you dive. The arrangements are mighty and confident, while the cast of characters and scenarios are compelling and provocative, anchored by Froberg's impassioned screaming and cool articulation. Comebacks are complicated, for bands and fans too, but this is one for the ages.

Kerrang!Mar 14, 2018Their lengthy hiatus has clearly not dulled Hot Snakes' razor-sharp edge, one bit, making Jericho Sirens a very welcome return. [17 Mar 2018, p.55]
-
MojoMar 14, 2018Nothing fundamental has changed, the attack is just more scrupulous. ... Hot Snakes' caustic, erudite commentary is more welcome than ever. [Apr 2018, p.88]
-
Apr 18, 2018Packed with a surfeit of nimble guitar lines, they draw their forces together into an expertly crafted portrayal of raw anguish that surpasses any nostalgic commemoration. These mature punks sweat out their energy with vigorous and eloquent playing, and in doing so, also show their younger peers how it's done.
-
Mar 19, 2018Jericho Sirens releases the pause button as if Hot Snakes had been locked in freeze-frame for the past 14 years, instantly thrusting them back into action.
-
Q MagazineMar 14, 2018This is a winner from start to finish. [May 2018, p.111]
-
Mar 29, 2018Harking back to Automatic Midnight and Suicide Invoice more than it resembles its immediate predecessor, this is one electrifying comeback. In short, Jericho Sirens absolutely smokes.
-
Mar 16, 2018It all works. Whenever Hot Snakes decide to get together, they will always be welcome.
-
Mar 14, 2018Hot Snakes are as dry, dented and slightly demented as ever.
-
Mar 15, 2018Jericho Sirens is an incredible turn, and proof to the other half-hearted post-hardcore comebacks of the last years (looking at you At the Drive-In, Refused and more) that it is possible to still be high-quality and relevant. In fact, in places Hot Snakes' fourth album is so good, it even puts newer bands who have come up in the meantime to shame.
-
Mar 19, 2018The Snakes pick up right where they left off. ... Worth the wait.
