i only ever write a review if an album is distinctly good, or distinctly bad. in the case of Jewellery, it is of the case of good. and not just good.... fantastic! this is one of the most exciting and creative albums i have honestly heard in my life! there is a no holds back feel about it that makes this album magical. the tracks 'calculator' and 'turn me well' will be on repeat for hoursi only ever write a review if an album is distinctly good, or distinctly bad. in the case of Jewellery, it is of the case of good. and not just good.... fantastic! this is one of the most exciting and creative albums i have honestly heard in my life! there is a no holds back feel about it that makes this album magical. the tracks 'calculator' and 'turn me well' will be on repeat for hours and when you have finally managed to separate yourself from them they will haunt you for hours after! this album shows so much promise for this relatively unknown band. i am just waiting for the first real breakout song from this band then Micachu and the shapes will be a household name! i would almost be willing to bet money on it! i think this is the only band that can incorporate a vacuum solo and get away with it. do yourself a favor and get this album! 1. Micachu’s album has all the markers of quirky chic--an unusual voice, a fairly well-known producer, and a distinctive approach centered around pastiche.
  2. Thrillingly improbable pop made by a grade-A maverick. Three cheers to that.
  3. It's a joyful sound when she cuts loose, and wedded to an attitude you wouldn't mess with, works a treat.
