    Incredible album from one of the greatest voices in music today. 'Liberation' is one of her best album in years and it was well worth the wait. If you loved Stripped and Back to Basics, you'll love this.

With that in mind, Liberation is a really well produced album with some strong lyrics and a good range of genres on it. The beginning with the cinematographic Mariah, the old school rock inspired Sick of Sittin', the reagge-ish Right Moves and her almost unique Accelerate, Christina goesChristina knows exactly what to do with her voice, how to pick songs and who she will reach with it. With that in mind, Liberation is a really well produced album with some strong lyrics and a good range of genres on it.     I have been a fan of Christina's since the beginning and have loved every album in some way of another. Lotus was a genuine misstep in a great discography so I was very worried whether Christina could come back . . . .

    Too much trap-style production that doesn't work with her voice. Nothing in the middle works much, except the restrained "Right Moves." Then there's "Unless It's With You," which is a helluva kicker. Too bad the rest of the album isn't on its level.

    After listening to the whole work, I felt liberated. U guys, this is refreshing. First of all, Christina brought something new to the ears ALL OVER AGAIN and I do admire of she always being a risk-taker to explore outside her comfort zone(like accelerate). Surprisingly, these new era of Xtina‘s songs blend well with her vocal, where she could soft&sexy, the next minute, she wentAfter listening to the whole work, I felt liberated. Of course ,as usual, she delivered typical Xtina emotional ballad like Twice and Unless It's with U( OMG ,you guys should check this one out about how she closing this song) ; Secondly, she really showcased her vocal ability through pop, Hip-hop, R&B, Trap, Regae( OMG right moves) ,Rock( sick of sittin'), and it was like she can do every Genre, which amazed me.

    You can diss Lotus, and you can call Bionic epic fail, but this album....I MEAN... is very cohesive and beautifully done, lyrically sonically and meaningfully(like Fall in Line).    … Expand

    Christina gave us more than we could've ever hoped for!!! The Vocals. my.God.THE.VOCALS.!!! The Beats!! THE BEATS.GO.SO.HARD.!!!! The Lyrics are LYRICALLY GENIUS!!! I'm WOW'D by all of the different AMAZING sounds! I'm still discovering new ones with each listen all whilst being Liberated all along the way! LIBERATION IS THAT RECORD!!!!!! I'm beyond proud!!!

    It´s been 6 years since Christina released her last album Lotus. When Lotus came out I never heard Christina saying that it was the music she wanted to do. Lotus is a masterpiece for me, but at the same time it is really commercial. Liberation goes against all the pressure and manipulation an artist may get from discographies. Liberation according to Christina is an album she always wantedIt´s been 6 years since Christina released her last album Lotus. When Lotus came out I never heard Christina saying that it was the music she wanted to do. Lotus is a masterpiece for me, but at the same time it is really commercial.     We've been waiting for six long years for this incredible album. Christina Aguilera has shown through her carrier a huge musical evolution, and now Liberation is released with such great songs, a mixed of pop, R&B and Soul. Her voice still sounds amazing like when she used to sing on Stripped and Back to Basics era.

    Christina FINALLY dug into the RB/Soul side that best captures her talent - this is right up there with Janelle as one of the top female albums of the year. Awesome job! Pipe, Unless Its With You and Right Moves are the standouts.

Her lead single "fall in line" brought together a very important message that deserved to be listened to by all, along with her music partner, demi lovato, an inspiring singer with a similar story to aguilera, both enjoying the chemistry they found with each other and the conspicuous admiration that one feels for the other to make the message even more powerful. 'Maria' a track that will certainly be dear among the most faithful fans of aguilera, brings a Christina looking for lost innocence, in a way nothing dramatic and certainly faithful to everything the singer believes and feels. 'twice' another powerful track, shows a xtina wondering why she is where she is, is a painful love letter made for herself, everything she has experienced and her own career. 'accelerate' a track that certainly will not be understood by all, enters as one of the most punctual hit tracks, this of course, if there is adequate disclosure by his record label 'RCA' that always fails with the singer. 'sick of sittin' is a track that enters like a rock, it shows aguilera without fear of exposing its displeasure with the falsity of the industry, or even, as some theorize, their dissatisfaction with the 'voice'
    'masochist' is a track that can be interpreted as a broken-hearted song, Aguilera tells her lover that despite this relationship is not good, she can not leave it. There are interpretations that may claim that it speaks to another part of itself. Another track that can be interpreted as a novel or for herself is 'Unless it's with you' that Aguilera sings softly that ''Cause I do not want to get married. Unless it's with you'' shows Aguilera valuing yourself above a marriage and just agreeing to commit if it really is worth it. 'Deserve' is a track that talks about a troubled relationship that makes her wonder if she really deserves to be in it, a song that brings significant aspects of Aguilera. If in the tracks above, we can bring different types of interpretations, in 'Right moves' we can see a light side of aguilera, which risks a song drawn to reggae that could easily be sung by rihanna, this song can bring new looks to who still insists on finding that aguilera continues in its warm zone. Among the interludes, highlight to 'dreamers' that comes before 'fall in line' this interlude brings children (among them, summer, his daughter) saying what they want to be, which brings an inspiring message and prepares the the listeners to feel the message and the power of the lyrics in 'fall in line' I guarantee that if you listen to the interlude 'dreamers' and soon after 'fall in line' you will feel an even greater force that will make you feel that nothing can stop you . the initial instrumental called 'liberation' that was presented at the beginning of the 'fall in line' clip makes you prepare for this album full of concepts that xtina knows how to do like nobody else. Since 'back to basics' that xtina did not launch a work so inspiring and full of questions to ask. For those looking for great hits and cheesy music without content, know that they will waste time, this is not the type of album you are looking for. Christina Aguilera showed the artist again who she is. Maybe now you can enjoy the art of this album and not waste it as they did with 'bionic' Artists like Christina Aguilera, deserves all recognition. From the violin-induced intro Liberation, to the heavenly falsetto of the songstress singing where is Maria to the banging collab with the little king of pop "MARIA". Listening to this album is like a journey.     QUALITY ! The quality of Miss Christina's voice and the way she executes every single note on that old school urban sound makes her one of the best artist ever. I became an instant fan after listen to this album.
    The production and the execution on Accelerate is too ahead of her time. People will eventually understand it later.

She performed at Jazz Fest in New Orleans a few years ago and while I didn't go, from the videos I saw of her performance I felt that she was getting back to that place where I fell in love with her first three albums. So now we have Liberation, which reminds me of Stripped in subject matter, genres, and vocals. The song and interludemiss for me and Lotus seemed all over the place. She performed at Jazz Fest in New Orleans a few years ago and while I didn't go, from the videos I saw of her performance I felt that she was getting back to that place where I fell in love with her first three albums. So now we have Liberation, which reminds me of Stripped in subject matter, genres, and vocals. The song and interlude sequencing on the album is spot on. Strong, confident, but a richer version of Stripped is what I would describe Liberation as. There is not a song that I skip on this album. The song "Maria" with the use of the Jackson 5 song also titled "Maria" along with Christina singing is absolutely brilliant and perfection. As a diehard MJ fan, "Maria" is so epic and it's my favorite song from the album. This is the Christina that I have been waiting for. I'm so glad you're back Christina and don't take so long next time! Lol!… Expand

    Maria is particularly haunting, it's just gorgeous. The harpsichord, high strings, the beat, the bass, Michael Jackson -sample and Christina's powerful storytelling with her voice, everything is exceptional! I like how it kind of advances like a straight, long road ahead, it's like a mini-journey in itself, fits to the story of the track.

    Sick of Sittin' brings old 60's/70's rock-bands in mind! Especially love the drums, sonically. They're powerful and bring me a genuine stadium concert feel. Christina's diverse voice channels Janis Joplin.

    Dreamers ties together with Fall In Line, presenting young girls with their dreams & aspirations, love the idea. Fall In Line is extremely powerful, in every way. Love the bass line & key change! The message is greatly appreciated, lyrics manage to say something new on the topic of oppression and inequality, and structurally it works.

    Right Moves feat. Keida and Shenseea is such a chill & unique song, I enjoy it! Issa vibe!

    Like I Do: flute and pretty vocals from Christina! Love her riffs and Goldlink's feat. works too.

    Deserve sounds like Christina's voice is "opening up". Also love the melody and how it's structured, bridge really moves me.

    The harmonies of Twice are stunning, wow. Love the piano. Musically it's such an understated song, but Christina displays different textures in her voice.

    I Don't Need It Anymore (Interlude) fits musically with Sick Of Sittin'.

    Accelerate is such a weird track! I like it though. Trap drums and hiphop feel.

    Pipe feat. XNDA was a grower for me. It gets better with each listen. Feature works.

    Masochist is catchy! I found myself humming to it after only one listen. Love the 80's atmosphere.

    Unless It's With You is gorgeous, strong ballad!

    Overall, Liberation offers many surprising ideas and musical moments, Christina's evolution as an artist is apparent. Kudos to this living legend, hope to hear new music sooner than expected.    … Expand

    Christina knocked it out of the park with Liberation! There isn't a bad track on the entire record. The only thing that would have made it even better is if she included "Change" as a bonus track.

    Hands down already the greatest vocal pop album of the last year. This is music done right, in all it's forms and influences. Christina demonstrates a wealth of talent beyond any of the other artists in todays industry.

    Cohesive, versatile, full of good lyrics and vocals, just PERFECT and undoubtedly the best album of the year. I'm not surprised that almost all current singers cite her as their influence, she is amazing.

    Christina is giving me life with this album. I really feel liberated. Maria is my favorite track so far but others keep growing on me with every listen. Pipe, Deserve, Accelerate are gems! Way to go X.

    Ive never heard this artist before. But this, u should listen to, feels like a masterpiece of 2018. I think shes a true artist. Like right moves, like i do, accelerate, maria, ballads are emotional, such as unless its with u. I jus wanna say i Love this album.

    I love that in an age of singles, streams, and downloads that Christina Aguilera still makes albums. This is a cohesive work where each intro and song compliments the next. If you want to listen to an album with great vocals, lyrics, excellent production, and versatility look no further than Liberation.

    You know, Xtina just wanted to find herself, and I feel it from all of those songs.

    For those who hate it. / don't like it. You say: ,,This is NOT Christina Aguilera!'' but you know what? This IS Christina Aguilera! I feel more of her soul in this album.

    I think she is liberated now and she deserves success. Because this is REAL Aguilera and REAL masterpiece.

    I'm not a big fan of pop music but this album was the greatest surprise of the past 5 years. Evry song is a masterpiece, I really liked the intro and how it defines the whole album. Aguilera redefines herself as a pop masterpiece and vocalist who is never scared to play with different genre and experiment with her vocals. I hope this album wins at least two Grammys next year. Well done, Christina.

Liberation is a true return to form for Xtina, while also exploring completely new territory.     I was trepidatious with this album after hearing her speak about the sound of the album. I was just nervous that it might be too experimental for right now. However, after finishing listening to the album from start to finish- WOW! It is a strong album as a whole.

    Christina gets to show all the colors of her voice in this. From the lows at the end of Maria, to the highs Deserve and Unless It’s With You. I’m addition we hear the quiet softness displayed in Searching for Maria and the subdued vibey vocals in Like I Do and PIPE.
    There are songs that are sexy, empowering, heart-breaking, and full of low key fun. The whole record, I would describe as a sexy vibe. Congrats to Xtina for creating another work worthy of bringing the same emotions that Stripped did for me when I was young. Not to mention her subtle political statement with an interlude entitled Dreamers being followed up by Fall In Line. Thank you for you resisting this administration and culture that is still working to bring people down.

    Stand out tracks include; Deserve, Unless Its With You, Like I Do, Maria, Right Moves, Pipe, Fall In Line and Accelerate. The only song I skip on this album is Sick Of Sitting, which is a pretty incredible feat.

    Liberation never reaches the heights fans likely wanted from Xtina, it serves as a pleasant refresher for a voice that has earned its place in the annals of pop history. That said, it’s a bit sad to feel like her finest moments are, at least for now, also in her past.
