On the group's third full-length Love Will Prevail, Ragon earns his rightful place alongside the works of the underground icons he flips for profit.
  2. Sep 11, 2012
    85
Ragon has the skill to twist all his found objects into something real and new: a strange breed of robust neo-folk with a fiery art-punk streak.
  3. Sep 17, 2012

If Nada! was the sound of punk rock overcoming itself, passing into its opposite, Love Will Prevail is the sound of it re-emerging once more, irrevocably altered by the journey.
  4. Sep 11, 2012
    70
Love Will Prevail is a curious exhibition of raw materials churned into mysterious and haunting rock that constantly evades easy labels – and one that's combination of range and drive will duly reward repeat spins.
  5. Nov 20, 2012
    70
Ultimately, Love Will Prevail probably isn't going to win over any newcomers, but it's a solid addition to Cult of Youth's catalog; it's pretty clear by now that nobody is doing this type of thing with the gusto and attention to detail that they are.
  6. Sep 11, 2012

While the Death in June/Current 93 comparisons are warranted and worn with pride, this album sees the band growing upward from those roots into an aggressive, heavily orchestrated look into the darker parts of the human condition.
  7. Nov 26, 2012
    60
Love Will Prevail is an ambitious, often great record, but in its ambition, in the risks it takes, it strives for a careful balance it can't always achieve.
