Overall, the tracks range from overserious and plodding to cloying and jumpy.
  2. Already dated, The Raveonettes 3-D thrills are temporarily diverting, but ultimately provide only the illusion of depth.

Despite its promising title, Lust Lust Lust is mighty forlorn. Or, optimistically, transitional. [Dec 2007, p.100]
  4. It’s a limited palette to be sure, but they do it well. However, cutting out a few songs would have made a stronger statement if they’re going to follow such a tight formula and narrow range of influences.

Lust Lust Lust is an accomplished set. [Jan 2008, p.109]
  6. Press down on the ambiguities of Lust Lust Lust as much as you want, and you’ll still be trapped in a world of surfaces.
  7. Uncut

The post-coital twang of 'Aly, Walk With Me' and 'Lust' are enough to arouse even the most jaded trash-rock fetishist. [Dec 2008, p.101]
  8. Under The Radar

The main drawback of Lust Lust Lust is that it might be a little too lo-fi and fuzzy. [Winter 2008, p.84]

Perhaps too early to say for certain but after a month with it I'd call this their best album. It is certainly their most accomplished.
