    This album is so personal yet so relatable, and that's something very rare to found these days. Halsey putted her heart and soul into it, and it shows. Now, for all the acts in the industry, THIS is how you make an album. Bravo!

    I just have to point out how amazing this album is. There’s not much more I can say. It has its bops, sad songs, all of that stuff. I have a feeling this album will do great.

    Phenomenal, her best record yet. Manic offers the perfect amount of insight into Halsey’s mind, while creatively pouring her heart into each individual song. Sonically cohesive yet offers hints of different genres throughout the tracklist. It’s easy to discover something new upon each listen.

    Listening to Manic, you can feel the emotion that Halsey put behind it. She does a great job putting her personal experiences and feelings on it. As someone who's been following Halsey since before her debut album, it hurts that I can't give it a higher score than this.     I've been a Halsey fan since the Badlands era, and I can see such a growth of her as an artist. She made such a good and different album and I loved it. The least favorite were the interludes, but that doesn't ruin the album, it's still good anyway. A strong 8/10.

Thus, Halsey has decided to open her heart to anyone who'll listen; millions of people in her case.

    Halsey has made a very enjoyable and relatable album full of deep personal lyrics that can reach out to anyone. Everyone could empathize with the singer and this album; you only have to have the willingness to listen to the chaotic emotional roller-coaster that is Halsey's life. Billie Eilish once said during her teenage years that "everyone I know in the music industry is fuc*ing sad". Thus, Ashley focuses on her most personal life, on bad loving, ex-lovers and how hard it is to deal with fame and loneliness. The singer has been able to write a 16 track album that resumes how she has felt emotionally during the three years, since the release of her previous album. She has been able to talk as Ashley, the most honest version of herself, the true one. I can hear Halsey singing thoughout the album and Ashley screaming in the background, hoping to be heard by the pop star. Manic definitely is a chaotic amalgamation of self-analysis, rage, depression, ecstasy, and growth that sees its creator managing the messiness of fame while trying to stay true to herself.
    The message is amazing and so is the music that accompanies it. A perfect mix of traditional pop assorted with the newest trends in the industry: low electronic R&B filled with an acoustic guitar and a little bit of notorious autotune.
    In conclusion, combining heartbreak with a journey to self-love, the album feels like entering the mind of a bipolar person: chaotic and relaxed at the same time. It is an album to cry of sadness and of joy. Manic will for sure be remembered as one of the best and most interesting albums to be released in recent memory by a female pop act.    … Expand

    Manic is the most beautifully cohesive body of work Halsey has released. It is chaotic, yet soft and reflective. It seems to find this middle ground of the intricate lyricism Badlands had, combined with clean & crisp production Hopeless Fountain Kingdom brought to the table.

    acho que esse álbum mostra muito a visão da Halsey sobre si mesma lidando com relacionamentos e situações pessoais. O Badlands e o HFK têm universos completamente distintos, assim como o Manic. Pessoalmente, o álbum não me decepcionou, e sinto que as músicas estão mais intimistas e honestas. Amo ver uma artista de verdade se desenvolvendo.

    Brilliant, Halsey apparently acknowledges that there are times when she looks vulnerable, but she also shows that she has learned and that he can capture in the best way what she wants to express. He shows us her interior in the best way, and now we know who Ashley is. I definitely love it and I think when the artists get real, this is how we know them.

You’ll feel like you’re waiting for a climax the whole album and it just doesn’t come. Most tracks sounds the same, but you’ll also find quite a few jewels.

    Graveyard delivers something different, unique, marvelous; You Should Be Sad will take    Halsey delivers an album with excellent songs that’ll stick in our minds for a while. She opens and closes with not so great songs (Ashley & 929). You’ll feel like you’re waiting for a climax the whole album and it just doesn’t come. Most tracks sounds the same, but you’ll also find quite a few jewels.

    Graveyard delivers something different, unique, marvelous; You Should Be Sad will take you to Halsey’s country rock vibe with excellency; 3am surprises as one of the best songs; Without Me, her #1 hit, is a masterpiece; Finally // beautiful stranger is also a great one.

    Overall, on a 16-track album there’s 5 really well crafted ones. Halsey still delivers quality and raw authenticity, but Manic is her weaker album so far. She should’ve led on Nightmares direction. But then again, just my opinion!    … Expand

    Es un álbum demasiado bueno, lo único malo es que se vuelve un poco aburrido conforme lo vas escuchando, empezamos con Ashley, ella supo cómo abrir el álbum y lo hizo bien, Graveyard es una de las mejores canciones del álbum en cuanto a letra y sonido.

    Halsey has never been more honest as she gets rid of all the fake personas and theatrical concepts. Manic is about Ashley and all of her detailed descriptions and reflections on herself and her feelings. With tears in my eyes I can say this is the best and most vulnerable album of 2020

    The fact that Halsey's albums are always unique and different makes Manic a masterpiece, the lyrics are out of this world and the sounds are just amazing. With this album she brings the Punk-Pop-Rock again with songs like 3AM and Alanis' Interlude

    The album is very cohesive, lyrics and sonically wise. It's great to follow the storyline from the first to the last track.

    The album is beautifully crafted with a very decent storyline. This album is filled with different genre and in the album she is very raw and real and pure. She isn't hiding behind Halsey anymore, she has accepted to love the true her aka Ashely. The songs are all different and unique. If u listen from start to end in a sequential order, then you can see she arranged the tracks in an orderThe album is beautifully crafted with a very decent storyline.     Grammy nomination is what this album deserves! Halsey is an exceptional artist and has gone above and beyond with MANIC. She poured her soul into this album and you feel every emotion throughout. From begining to end this album is a MASTERPIECE!

    The real problem is that the best ideas are outvoted by frustrating ones, leaving us with little touches like the short, yelping-like sound in the second verse of More or the distorted vocals that end killing boys. There are some good moments here, but even the best of them can’t help Halsey get out of her own way.

    Manic is a rich and often confounding listen, an expansive album filled to the brim with the imagined worlds Halsey’s built for herself in the real one. It’s also sincerely, indefatigably Halsey: She puts her loves and ambitions on wholly earnest display, even if it doesn’t always make for the most consistent listen.
