it is evident from the first track that the band did not have a clear direction on this album other than celebrating their successful journey to becoming the biggest musical act in the world. having such purpose alone is ok, but combined with the fake deepness of the lyrics (and the solid yet cringy instrumentals) we obtain as a result an album that sounds more like a soundtrack of ait is evident from the first track that the band did not have a clear direction on this album other than celebrating their successful journey to becoming the biggest musical act in the world. having such purpose alone is ok, but combined with the fake deepness of the lyrics (and the solid yet cringy instrumentals) we obtain as a result an album that sounds more like a soundtrack of a BTS-based fiction movie than a real album. their talents are not showcased at all here. I don't like the title song ON although the lyrics are kind of inspiring.Friend, Louder than bombs ,My time, 00:00 are worth listening somehow. The others are so so.

it's a let down for me. the album is full of auto tune which does not sound good... the singles sound like something a bad western rapper/trap artist would release... idk this whole map of the soul series is a huge disappointment especially after love yourself series. i only like 2 or 3 songs..

The whole aura of the album is pretentious. They're theme is also the same. they keep taking about the same topics in their music. And the godawful autotune..YIKES. the cultural impact of this album is because of well planned marketing strategies and the frenzy of teenage fans. The music itself is not worth it. like One Direction, celebrated, but soon forgotten

This album is so overrated. The album lacked the natural fluidity of their most known hit, as, for example, the newest song "Dynamite". Few song are quite catchy , indeed the majority of them are not.

This album was ok...I’m not going to blindly praise this album like other fellow ARMYs but I like a half the album but there was some songs that just was really my fitting.

Not the best but I have a feeling the best from them is coming in the future. The feats were not the best.

An admittedly bold attempt that falls miles short of its target, but will be lamented by the groups ravenous fanbase.

This album is extremely awful, don't bother listening to it. It's very generic and headach-inducing.

A generic pop album, kinda off and it feels overrated. I hope the group will try to explore and evolve in different kind of music.

Muy básico, nada nuevo, de esperarse, las colaboraciones no lo valen y siendo apenas lo único destacable

MUITO RUIM! O som desses moços sao pavorosos e muito poluidos. Letras nada profundas e vozes fracas fazem dele ainda pior.

I really enjoyed this. The solo songs were especially stand out for me, my time is probably #1 from those. I think the song i like the most (for now) is louder than bombs. That’s such a special track. Ugh goes crazy, friends is super cute and zero o’clock is pretty as hell. Im just in shock

A really bad album, I can’t get into it. They should’ve waited and released something better next year.

Tratare de ser lo más concreto posible a este álbum que no me llamo la atención en absoluto, los fans se ciegan demasiado idolatrando a algunos que no poseen talento y vendecirlos como dioses cuando no lo son.

As a whole, the strong but not particularly unruly “7” is less sure-footed than “Love Yourself: Tear,” the group’s last full-length, from 2018, and the first K-pop album to debut atop the Billboard album chart

Taut and primal, “MOTS: 7” is a kind of self-referential homage. ... Each get solo turns to shine here, their collective work is what stands out.

Persona lacked the natural fluidity and chicness of their best music. Those problems aren’t exactly mitigated here, since most of those songs appear on this album too, but within this new context, they feel like a flashback before the saga continues. Many of the new songs are better about balancing Easter eggs for day-ones with new entry points for more casual listeners.
