Oct 5, 2020The use/reference of Carl Jung's Map Of The Soul is brilliant in this album. This is about each member exploring their concepts of Persona, Ego and Shadow. The individual solo songs are just as amazing as the group songs.
-
Oct 5, 2020BTS expands on that vision with their sleek and polished seventh full-length, Map of the Soul: 7. Through the lenses of fame and relationships, the group embark on a psycho-emotional journey that explores ideas of identity and self, using Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung's concepts (The brighter the light, the longer the Shadow.) as a backbone of the album. Impeccable production.
-
Feb 21, 2020BTS 'most personal album, they keep innovating in everything they do and show once again how their potential overcomes barriers
-

Oct 4, 2020Entertaining from beginning to end. Every track follows a cohesive story through Jung’s Map Of The Soul writings. It’s an in depth exploration of the self. They outdid themselves.

-
Oct 4, 2020MOTS:7 combines energy and heart in a beautiful 19 track album. Lyrically, each song is layered with meaning. Surface at first but dive into the metaphors and mythology and you find beautifully written stories of self discovery.
-

Oct 4, 2020BTS has delivered one of, if not the, best albums of 2020. Each song in the album delivered not only meaningful lyrics but also beautiful music. Each song is unique and there’s a song for everyone since it has many different genres for people with different taste in music. Simply put, map of the soul: 7 is a masterpiece.
-

-
Oct 4, 2020amazing work! artists who actually write and compose their music! cool music, different beats, beautiful and inspiring lyrics
-
Oct 4, 2020The whole aura of the album is pretentious. They're theme is also the same. they keep taking about the same topics in their music. And the godawful autotune..YIKES. the cultural impact of this album is because of well planned marketing strategies and the frenzy of teenage fans. The music itself is not worth it. like One Direction, celebrated, but soon forgotten
-
Oct 4, 2020don’t really like the album and the worst song is the title track? black swan is ok
-
Oct 4, 2020Incredibly phenomenal! All the boys add a different element to that album, making it a diverse playlist. Fun, emocional, inspiring.

Oct 4, 2020This is the most amazing album of this year for me. It is just so inspiring. Tracks 00:00, Moon makes me happy after a tiring day while some tracks such as Shadow, Inner child, My time.... tell me more about BTS's career, what makes them fear, what makes them happy and feel grateful to talk about.

Oct 4, 2020This album has varied genres of songs that relay different emotions as well as the story and journey of the members. The songs are mostly sentimental and meaningful and evoke some sad emotions. The themes explored and lyrics are universal.
-
Oct 4, 2020This is interesting to listen and the production of the album make you think about the explosive K-Pop. It sounds very crazy and emotive, it's not my favorite but its Okay. The songwritters... well You don't need so many songwritters to make a great album, just think in Adele, Taylor Swift and others artist. The production is cool tha's all.
-
Oct 4, 2020A great album that makes us feel the message, feel what they are trying to say with their songs, their own feelings.
-
Oct 4, 2020uno dei migliori album mai prodotti in questi ultimi anni. Amo le loro lyrics molto profonde che rispecchiano i problemi delle persone. Amo anche che abbiano esplorato molti altri generi e in questo album ne è la prova.

-
Oct 4, 2020I loved the VARIETY of the genres in the album, which makes it very interesting to listen to. From rap to soul to ballads. Some tracks stands out a lot more based on my musical preference but generally it was surprisingly very good. Highly recommend
-
Oct 4, 2020This album is AMAZING, cant stop listening to it. The album really shows the hard work that BTS puts into their music. They do an incredible job in actually breaking down the language barrier, which seems to be a hard thing to understand for the part of GP and critics who refuse to look beyond the boyband stigma and appreciate the art for what it stands for. Good job BTS, keep it up.
-

Oct 4, 2020A full album with different genres done with a touch that only BTS can do. All the songs are so good and meaningful. If you look up the English translated lyrics, it makes you realize how BTS values excellence. They could’ve stopped at the awesome melodies, but they go the extra mile with meaningful lyrics.
-
Oct 4, 2020Amazing album by 7 amazing south korean men I know. Their music really transcends language, title track ON is very powerful music. You'll find all the songs amazing ,especially more if you'll find time to understand the lyrics. BTS is a cultural reset. All their music are so meaningful and deep. Please try to check this out.

Awards & Rankings
-
Mar 4, 2020As a whole, the strong but not particularly unruly “7” is less sure-footed than “Love Yourself: Tear,” the group’s last full-length, from 2018, and the first K-pop album to debut atop the Billboard album chart.
-
Feb 27, 2020Taut and primal, “MOTS: 7” is a kind of self-referential homage. ... Each get solo turns to shine here, their collective work is what stands out.
-
Feb 25, 2020Persona lacked the natural fluidity and chicness of their best music. Those problems aren’t exactly mitigated here, since most of those songs appear on this album too, but within this new context, they feel like a flashback before the saga continues. Many of the new songs are better about balancing Easter eggs for day-ones with new entry points for more casual listeners.
