    A superb dose of head-banging fun by way of The House That Heaven Built brings this record to a joyous conclusion, and caps off an experience courtesy of Japandroids that overflows with vitality.

    The band’s love for what they do and for its fans is on full display throughout their entire performance on Massey Fucking Hall. While it surely isn’t quite as electrifying as being there yourself, in 2020, this is among the best live shows within reach.

    Brian King and David Prowse traffic in exhilarating rock and roll that fuels climactic moments throughout the course of a live show and on this night, the two musicians pulled tracks from all three of their upbeat studio releases. That stated, this live capturing does not improve on any of the songs presented on Post-Nothing, Celebration Rock or Near to the Wild Heart of Life, yet for the duo’s fans, it will recall fond memories of shows past.
