Jun 29, 2013This album is a classic group album, because it keeps the Rick Ross street banger formula, while Meek Wale and Pill just complement it with some great verses. Personally, the best song was definitely the Pill and Gunplay collaboration "Don't Let Me Go" I am excited for Self Made 3, but I still rock songs like Fitted Cap, 600 Benz, Tupac Back, and of course I'ma Boss

Aug 25, 2011It's an exhausting listen with all these guys trading the baton back and forth, but taking the songs out of context as individual numbers, most of them come off stronger than they do as part of a front-to-back listen.

Aug 4, 2011If he was hoping to prime his artists for individual success, he's got a long way to go. But if he was simply looking to keep Maybach's name on everyone mind via a loosely defined collection of bangers, well then it looks like Rick Ross still can't do wrong.

Jun 17, 2011If Wale, Meek, and Pill could find a way to focus on their own strengths, maybe they'd sound more comfortable alongside their new boss. Instead, they all sound like they're trying to become mini-Rosses, and it doesn't work for them.
