    Una vez más Lorde lo supera, superó mis expectativas, Melodrama es una obra maestra. Desde la primera canción hasta la última no dejas de decir "Dios mío esto si es arte" merece el mejor de los reconocimientos.

    Listening to this album is an emotional rollercoaster. Even if you are not going through a heartbreak, or been harmed emotionally, this album will resonate with you and you will even wish you were broken-hearted to relate even more. Lyrics, composition, cohesiveness and composition on point.
    Favorite tracks are: The Louvre, Hard Feelings, Sober and Supercut.

    Álbum totalmente esmurrado pelo "Pure Heroine". Chega a ser cansativo e frustrante ter que repeti-lo. O disco se segura em musicas como "Writer in the Dark", "Sober", "Liability" e no maravilhoso conceito que o mesmo tem, mas com o passar do tempo você percebe que é mais do mesmo.

    I never got into Lorde when she released her first album Pure Heroin, and her single Royals. In my opinion, it felt like it was missing something. But here, Lorde is delivering an surprisingly good album. It sounds way more mature. It is extremly cohesive as a whole, and yet it still manage to get its highlights: Sober II, that hit hard as a brick when it comes, the boomy Supercut, TheI never got into Lorde when she released her first album Pure Heroin, and her single Royals. In my opinion, it felt like it was missing something. But here, Lorde is delivering an surprisingly good album. It sounds way more mature. It is extremly cohesive as a whole, and yet it still manage to get its highlights: Sober II, that hit hard as a brick when it comes, the boomy Supercut, The Louvre... It's is a poppish album, but it avoid most the cliché that it could have fell into. You still get 2 piano ballads and a "stupid" pop song (Loveless, that have a hard time being interesting since it's just after Hard Feelings epic final). Melodrama is an excellent album that deserve the praise it get.… Expand

    ¡Una verdadera joya! No hay ninguna canción que esté de más, la espera de aproximadamente cuatro años valió la pena, sin duda Lorde se ha lucido con este álbum, cada canción te transmite algo.

    Definitely deserves the praise it is getting, her style is unique and the lyricism has greatly improved from her last album. She's maturing and it obviously shows in this album, every song fits together cohesively, without there being a real standout track. If her last album felt a bit emotionally removed and un-relatable, Melodrama is a pendulum swing in the other direction. It's full of emotion and very well-thought out. However, I see less of a storyline than Lorde probably intended. The reprises don't really add to the overall flavorGenerally, I liked the album.     This album helped Lorde to confirm her maturity and her defined taste of music, and it exposes her effort in this album! She wrote and co-produced ALL her songs by herself! Chapeau!

    An amazing album, can easily be seen to be the colourful sister of Pure Heroine. The album contains sensual and fragile songs, ballads and classic pop. Sometimes a bit repetitive with the pop songs.

    Lorde shows a more mature facet according to her age, a disc where she breaks down emotionally and makes you feel the same. The singer from New Zealand enters next to the pop singer consecrated by its style and not by its image.

    Amazing album with detailed lyrics and fresh production styles and experimentations. More like Lorde has created another superb album. (best track: Homemade Dynamite, Hard Feelings/Loveless, The Louvre, Perfect Places)

    ¡Es el album del año! Es increíble la capacidad que tiene Lorde para reflejar tantos sentimientos y emociones en un solo disco. Las canciones “Perfect Places” y “Green Light” son verdaderas obras de arte.
    Es la mejor artista pop del momento.

    They want to know what I think? is the best album of all time, why? I love the feeling that added to each of the songs. is a world completely different from the one he offered us in pure heroine. At first I admit that I disliked something but after knowing the story I realized the true value. I love her, it's my life. I adore her, I breathe for her. I love you, Lord, I love you with all my heart.

    Just amazing, if you like hypebeast music, you probably wont enjoy this album, because you might find it boring. I loved the album, but I can see if you like exciting music how this would be boring, but this is still so amazing, I don't know if this album is really even pop, I would have to give it a 10/10 personally.

    Yes, it is the anthem of teenagers. But even if you are not a teen anymore, you can still think of the feelings of love and hurt in your 20s. That's why Lorde and this album are excellent with no doubt.

    The best album I've heard, extremely well done and beautiful! Every single part of the album is perfect, it has a cover that connects really well with the inside, and it has a narrative, which is impressive. Biggest album by a female artist, done by just two people. Impressive.

    Such a good album. Lorde is the best and such an inspiration for me. I had some dark times in my life and I feel like Lorde understands me. Now Lorde has released this album and i just love it!

    A very cohesive and well-arranged album. It deserves all the acclaims it's been getting so far. Despite the album being great as a whole, there are not many stand-out tracks or single-worthy songs that you would enjoy listening on the radio. Still, an amazing effort by Lorde who writes and co-produces ALL her songs herself.

    One of the best albums of the year. Lorde is changing the perspective which people may have towards pop music. More touching, more intimate. Production is meticulously taken care of, and the vocals sound real and are able to transmit clearly the emotion of every song, they all have a common gist, melodrama.

    A true grammy-worthy album... Lorde has just set the bar for not only herself, but most alt/pop music artists of the decade. almost every song of the track trilled me in their own beautiful way. Lorde successfully created her own genre years ago, and followed it up with a close-to-masterpiece in 2017.

    Lorde was overcome by a lot and proved to have one of the best albums of his year and history. Each song conveys a feeling that only she can make you imagine. Fantastic production, wonderful lyrics and perfect concept. Less is more and these 11 songs are great by themselves.

Written by both her and Jack Antonoff, the album is poetic, meaningful, and relatable to listeners all while being backed by catchy tunes. Lorde sings beautifully of what her adolescence/early adulthood venture is like, making it al the more relatable to her listeners and fans. 'Green Light' makes you want to speed down the highway in the middle of the night with the windows down, while 'Hard Feelings/Loveless' reminds the listener of the love that they lost, but how they are moving on.

    Keep in mind, Melodrama was also nominated for a Grammy for being the Album of the year. Though Lorde did not take the award home, she did in my opinion. Lorde has become one of the most anticipated artists while performing, accompanied by her crazy exciting dance moves across the stage. Melodrama taking the stage on her upcoming tour is going to be epic and should not be missed by any fans of her or the album.

    Melodrama is a self-reflection on the past years of her life after the overnight fame she gained with Royals, with solitude and heartbreak being the main themes of the album. In the duration of this album, Lorde embraces herself lyrically and accepts that sometimes she may be alone as she grows from teenager to young adult, as seen throughout each song’s lyrics.
    The songs on Melodrama are very much like the album’s title, melodramatic, with grand lyrics and production throughout. The album’s first track, “Green Light”, is a great example of this and sets the stage for the rest of the album. On Green Light, Lorde sings with passion of her frustrations with a past lover and being ready to move on from them. The production from Jack Antonoff accelerates this song even further adding more “grandness” to the song with multiple background instruments.
    The lyrics throughout Melodrama are wonderful and each song is written by Lorde herself. While the production throughout most of the album is poppy and upbeat, the lyrics hidden in plain sight say otherwise. For example, casual listeners of the song “Sober” might see the song as Lorde claiming she and her lover cannot be broken apart, but within the same song, she wonders what will become of them after they are no longer intoxicated at a party.
    Again, one of Lorde’s greatest strengths as a songwriter is her multidimensional lyrics that relate to all her listeners, even if they wouldn’t like to admit it. A song that showcases this strength is the ballad “Liability”, where Lorde is at her most vulnerable on Melodrama. On Liability, Lorde sings about feeling useless as well as being like a toy that will eventually be thrown out after one is bored with it, which reflects Lorde’s status as a pop star and the general public’s image of her but can also relate to listeners own potential insecurities and how they feel about their own relationships and friendships.
    Lorde is a once in a generation artist and Melodrama proves this, the lyrics are relatable and beautiful, and Jack Antonoff’s production helps add to Lorde’s voice even further. Even if listeners cannot commit their time to listen to this album for the full forty-one-minute duration, I still highly recommend listening to any song off Melodrama just to expose themselves to a taste of what Lorde brings to the pop genre with this album. Melodrama was one of the best albums of 2017 and is now personally one of my favorite albums of all time. It’s honestly amazing how talented Lorde is at such a young age. Being a Grammy-nominated and Billboard-topping album doesn’t even come close to the recognition this album deserves.    … Expand

Although for me honestly, the lyricism of Melodrama is a step backward from her debut album, Pure Heroine.     Very rarely after an artist releases a debut masterpiece do they follow it up with something just as good. This did not happen. Melodrama unprecedentedly EXCEEDS it's predecessor "Pure Heroin" and is the perfect follow-up. Lorde is a forest fire.

Everything is carefully placed. And while artists proclaim their albums to be personal or to follow a new direction in their sound, they never seem to quite execute that in their delivery. Lorde seems to fly way ahead of that, instead directly demonstrating her peers how she can deliver such raw and genuine emotion into eleven tracks. You see a story of a young adolescent transitioning into adulthood captured so vividly, as if one were there with her. She is the first pop artist to be able to do this so well in the longest time. And while Lorde herself has denied that this is in fact a concept album, although simply a loose narrative, it feels like what many artists have stated their albums to be (i.e. Halsey). Where Halsey terribly fails in understanding what a concept album means, Lorde innately understands it to the best of her ability. This is the artist that blew the critics away with her incredible Pure Heroine at merely 16 years old and they were right. Lorde is a force to be reckoned with.     From all the trash from 2017, this is such a refresher. The unique production to Lorde's personality is something we don't deserve honestly. Clever song writing and the emotion put into this album is overwhelming. It feels rather pure and authentic. It doesn't feel manufactured by some label company.

    1 year after the publication of "Melodarama" , it's still fresh and new.
    Lorde made maybe one of the best pop albums of the century so far, introducing new topics and new sounds. The vibe is incredibly catchy and the lyrics are are marvelous.
    Lorde couldn't do any better.

It is pop music at it's great and an artist at their source. It tells a story without sacrificing musicality, 'poppiness'. She uses catchy hooks ,unbelievably original choruses,irregular structures to explore the triumphant yet messy transition from adolescence to adulthood through the female gaze. One of this album's greatest achievements besides it's amazing production or exceptionally suiting/affecting coverart is it's idiosyncrasies. She uses specific lyrics"hate the beach" "buying groceries " that despite their specificity connect with each listener personally. This album manages being versatile whilst maintaining cohesion. Having a concept and interludes without using fillers or seeming pointless to the album or ruining it's flow.
    In conclusion this album is a dissertation on freedom and how it makes us feel,from abandoned to excited to apprehensive to at peace and we get to experience that with her 11 tracks or the rest of our lives depending on if change ever normalizes    … Expand

    Absolute masterpiece bundled into an album. To this day I can listen to every track and have it feel fresh. It is extremely hard to make a cohesive, artistic, and lyrical body of work that is enjoyable to listen to but Lorde did it. I didn't know how she could top Pure Heroine, another favorite of mine, but the wait was worth it. I have nothing but praises for Melodrama.

This is her best work so far, and for me : Green Light, Sober, Homemade Dynamite, The Louvre, Liability, Hard Feelings /Loveless, Sober II (Melodrama), Writer In the Dark, Supercut, Liability (Reprise), and Perfect Places : 10/10. And this is my favorite album ever.
