  • Summary: Mainly consists of Spanish-language versions of the songs from her hit debut album.

  1. She still suffers under the Whitney-Mariah delusion that Volume equals Passion, which proves to be her greatest undoing on this 11-song set.
  2. A mostly mainstream pop album with Latin inflections.
  3. With its superslick production and Mariah Carey-esque vocal histrionics, the "Latin" elements in Mi Reflejo are more sanitized than Santana-ized...
  4. Memo to self:... no matter how many foreign words I had to learn, I can still hit TONS of unnecessary high notes.
  5. An album that is just a little too familiar, even if it's classy and well-produced and spiked with a couple of new tunes that hold their own with the holdovers.

Aguilera needs more than a just crash course in Spanish -- she needs a good translator (some songwriting help wouldn't hurt, either).

This is purely a marketing scam gone too far.

Before club-ready anthems of "Lotus", before sexy and glittery "Burlesque" soundtrack, before experimental "Bionic", amazing "B2B" and her 1st fully grown up effort "Stripped" young Christina Aguilera released a spanish version of her self titled debut album called "Mi Reflejo". It contained a new versions of her 5 singles. Some of them were better ("Ven Conmigo", "Mi Reflejo"), some of them were worse ("Una Mujer"). The other tracks were some non impressive, typical pop ballads, although I found some sexy, latin, hip-shaking tracks like "Falsas Esperanzas" and "Cuando No Es Contigo" that I really like. Overall, it's a bit dull, but still enjoyable album. Later, that young lady became one of the most powerfull female vocalists ever.

No hay mucho trabajo detrás de él. En algunas canciones la mujer no sabe ni lo que está diciendo, solo grita. Hay dos o tres canciones entretenidas, pero 3 o 4 insufribles. Expand
