May 13, 2022Amazing, a masterpiece, it's a vulnerable side of Kendrick, talking about maturity, black parenting and relationship, it's deep and important

May 13, 2022I was beyond impressed with this album. A musical journey from Track 1 - 18, with powerful instrumentals, vocals, and messaging regarding grief, introspection, and aspects of modern culture. Worth repeated listens and an instant classic!

May 13, 2022Sometimes an artist shift in a way that makes us feel uncomfortable or overlooked as fans of their art. I always welcome when an artist makes music for them and not us. Kendrick continues to show us how self dedicated he is. This isn't music...it's performance art over a beat. Cheers

May 13, 2022This album is genius. It's not what I expected which keeps it fresh and gives it replay value. It's such a well crafted and heavy album executed at the highest standard. oklama gets a 9 from me. We need this in modern rap.
-

May 14, 2022El mejor álbum que he escuchado en mi vida, maldita sea es tan perfecto, desde N95 hasta Wey Cry Together, simplemente perfecto
-
May 14, 2022Incredibile album, i will say that is maybe even better than tpabf, the first disc off the album contains incredible tracks such as we cry togheter, the second disc has a sound less jazzy but it's still incredible.
-
May 14, 2022Another inscrutable opus from Compton's finest. This is what we've been waiting for.
-
May 14, 2022Outstanding storytelling and messages provided in this masterpiece of an album .
-
May 14, 2022Best album in History. So inspirational, so emotional, so true. He is the most real artist after Tupacs death.
-
May 14, 2022This album is only but a confirmation that Mr. Morale actually achieved the breakthrough that he claims in his psychological exploration of his psyche. Despite few moments of awkwardness of the beats and rhymes of some tracks, MMTBS is nothing less than a masterpiece that's well thought out and executed. The world should be glad that he took his time to grow before saying something again.

Jun 20, 2022By far the most compelling persona on Mr Morale & The Big Steppers is the Kendrick who is trying to make sense of his own family. ... ["Mother I Sober" is] a tour de force, almost but not quite as revelatory as "DUCKWORTH", a similar family saga off 2017's DAMN. And the best moment is when the strings swell and Lamar's voice changes. [Aug 2022, p.24]
-
Jun 17, 2022Through over 70 minutes of Lamar’s latest, every facet of life for the young Compton rapper is held up to the light. Love, pain, hope, despair, triumph, defeat, it’s all there. ... He’s a rapper who understands rapping is more than just a good beat, a good punchline, or a good vocal tone. He’s blessed to have all of that but he takes the platform he got from it and makes art that will last a lifetime.
-
The WireJun 15, 2022Introspective, emotionally charged pieces such as “Father Time”, “We Cry Together” and “Savior” provide high – or jarring – points on the record, but elsewhere there are periods of lull absent on previous efforts. ... As sonically impressive as his latest album may be, his approach to the topics under discussion doesn’t feel sufficiently thought out. [Jul 2022, p.48]
