Eminem got murdered on his own track by who????? Young ma my ass. All eminem does on this album is murder. He murders every beat. Every lyric and murders anyone who's featured on the track with him. Slim shady in the buildin

Slim's best since MMLP2. Time will tell there are masterpieces on here. The whole Hitchcock thing is the cherry on top.

I gave myself some time before reviewing the album because Eminem's music isn't easy to judge after 1st listen. Sometimes I still Catch new bars after numerous listens, chich is nice because I know Artist took some ef fort.
After watching the "Darkness" video I didn't know what to expect but after picking my jaw from the floor and listening to the whole album I was pleased... really

After watching the "Darkness" video I didn't know what to expect but after picking my jaw from the floor and listening to the whole album I was pleased... really pleased.
Eminem went a long way from Revival(I dont hate it, some song I liked, other not so much), through Kamikaze which was very strong but a little bit raw album up to this jewel!
What hit me the most? BEATS. In my opinion from Revival to MUSIC TO BE MURDERED BY theres 10-15 step when it comes to beats and the sounds overall. It sounds, modern, energetic and HIP HOP.
Songs like Premonition, Godzilla, Unaccommodating or You Gon' Learn sound amazing and the other ones are pretty good to. What I really like is that Eminem sounds like He had a lot of fun making this album. Theres a lot of funny ad-libs and jokes, which i missed in last Eminem's albums.
Lirycs... It's Eminem! Top tier bars, clever doubles(Darkness is sick!) and a ton of punchlines. Great stuff. Absolutely briliant.
There's also few disses, powerfull but not as angry as on Kamikaze.
Hooks? Pretty good. Some landed hard(Godzilla, I Will, Darkness), some are good and 1-2 I wasn't biggest fan.
Features? AMAZING. Royce, Crook(his verse was nuts!), Joel, BT, Young Ma... I also liked Skylar Grey on the hook(powerful stuff!)
The whole theme of the album is great, especially for Alfred Hitchcock's fans. It has its own style.

The goat with one of his bests in years.
As funny as Relapse, as lovely as Recovery and as savage as MMLP.
    GIVE IT A LISTEN.

It’s a great album with a variety of songs. It’s a return to form for Eminem as a lyricist. This album gave me some vibes of earlier works like The Eminem Show. Great album. Great songs. Don’t take my word for it though. Listen to the album and see what you think.

This is one of the best releases in a few years and it had to be Eminem the one who's put it out. Yeah, the lyrics are not up there with his first releases but what he's trying to spread with this effort goes beyond what we usually expect from his releases. His previous one Kamikaze was a wake up call to those who criticize him and this one is the final touch on those who still won't get over the fact the didn't drag Ariana Grande in one of the songs on the album nor mocked the situation she'd been through in Manchester. One of eminem's best work overall, amazing beats, great content, incredible hooks, the flow, cadence, voice on this project is off the chain. Don't get me started on the double entendre, metaphors, similes, rhyme schemes. Geez

I'm a fan of his speed and storytelling. The shocking bars aren't really a problem, to me. The content was there and it also had great length. This is something I can play on repeat. He also had a lot of fun with it. I'm enjoying all the ad-libs.

Eminem gave me everything I could ask for in MTBMB... clean/ Dr. Dre production, Marshall-sung hooks, experimental & trap-sounding beats, introspective & personal subject matter, Em’s signature rapping/ flows/ rhymes/ wordplay and even a Black Thought feature. Thank you Em!

THIS is hip hop. Top tier MC features and all-round great bars from all of them. Very diverse tracklist with each track having its own sound and tone. Album has great depth and, with a less angry Em on it, is great to listen to.

Em once again shows that age is just a number. Still the best rapper. The album is great with great beat and production, thanks to Dr.Dre and great collab with Skylar Grey and Royce da 5'9

This album is so sick. I've had it on repeat since it was released. A couple of songs had to grow on me (Stepdad & Leaving Heaven) but after a few listens I really like them now. I'd probably give it a 9.5 as it isn't as good as SSLP, MMLP & TES which are all 10's. Make sure you give it a listen.

Masterpiece. Is there any debate he is the GOAT now?
Nobody can spit so many hard bars with incredible rhythm and cadence.
Lock It Up is the most underrated track.

Honestly probably Eminem's best album since his prime. With some of the better rapping we've heard from him recently, less dad bars lol this is easily his best album recently. He clearly cares about his output, but “Music To Be Murdered By” is, unfortunately, another mixed bag of tricks, propped up by lyrical acrobatics and underwhelming production.

If they look hard enough, any artist could find criticism of their work online. That’s sort of the curse of the Information Age. But not everyone overreacts quite as much as Eminem does. But if his fears grow tiring, his lyrical ability can still give you something to admire, even if the album is somewhat uneven.

It is not, strictly speaking, a good record—Eminem hasn’t made one of those in a decade—but it boasts enough technical command and generates just enough arresting ideas to hold your attention.
